Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works on my metal roof just fine! After looking at other roofing cables that came with a caution not to use on metal roofs I settled on this one. The cable gets warm but not hot and does the job of melting ice and snow.

Bonjour Ce cable de 80 pieds peut-il servir pour mettre des caissons de semences dessus? a l'intérieur merci

Asked by: Jean
Hello, No, you cannot use this product for this application. This product can be used on water filled plastic or metal supply pipes only. DO NOT use on drains lines, fuel lines or hoses. NEVER, install heating cable on plastic pipe unless pipe is filled with water at all times. Thank you.

length

how do you figure the length of heat cables
Asked by: Anonymous
Figuring out the length of cable that you will need will vary depending on how much snow you get. If you get more snow then you may want to make your "V's" a little tighter so there is more heat on the roof. The V's should be about 2 feet apart and they should go at least 1 ft up on the roof. Please see the attached image. I hope this helps.
