Watts 4-Stage Reverse Osmosis System

Model # 500025|Store SKU # 1000143983

Overview

Model # 500025 Store SKU # 1000143983

The Watts Premier Four Stage RO system begins with stage 1, a five micron Sediment filter that traps particulate matter like dirt, rust, sand silt and sediment that will affect the taste and appearance of your water. Stage 2 is a five micron Carbon Block filter that provides a reduction of chlorine, chloramine and other materials that cause bad taste and odours. Stage 3 is the heart of the reverse osmosis system, the RO Membrane. Stage 4 is a high quality GAC final filter (this is called a final filter because it filters after the membrane). The filtered RO water passes through the membrane and enters the storage tank. When you're ready for a taste, it will leave the storage tank and pass through this fourth stage on its way up to the faucet. The end result? Crystal clear, high quality, and great tasting water!.

  1. 24 GPD Thin Film Composite Membrane
  1. System tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standard 58 for the reduction of the claims specified on the performance data sheet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great This is my second installation. The other unit has been working for 5 years with no problems. This system produces 20+gallons of wasted water per 1 gallon of filtered water. I have that waste water routed to my garden.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff! Very helpful and useful for my family. Clean water without taste at home now. Don't need to spent money and personal time for bottle refilling. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well Good filtering, pressure and recovery rates, downsides are really only that all RO systems drain waste water (AKA brine) while producing which makes a noise in the waste water trap. Product works well though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just love this reverse osmosis filtering system I bought this over a month ago. I am very happy I did. No more Chlorine taste in the water. If you ever drank spring water, this filter is as close as it gets. Coffee really tastes better. Installation was very easy, at least for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great water system I am using it for 3 months now, great taste of water and love it. installing it was not hard either. if you see only diagram and use your common sense its super easy to install but if you read the manual it might be hard. I read the manual after installation and still can not understand. follow the diagram and it is super easy to install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice filter system, ok installation Great undersink filter system for the price, water is clear and tastes better than RO bottled water. Had it since March 2015 and it will be due for a filter change in a month or so, had no issues with it and wanted to wait out half a year before writing this review. Installation instructions not crystal clear to someone with limited plumbing skill, but look for a UK youtube vid titled "How to Install the Watts 4 Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System" which makes it pretty clear. In spite of the number of components it fits well under our sink, and we have had no issues with it. The toughest part of the installation was drilling the hole for the faucet through the stainless steel in the sink, pick up a decent cobalt bit at the same time if you don't have one.

I just swapped all my filters and I'm not 100% sure if everything is back in the proper order. Everything seems fine, but I was hoping someone has a link to a manual or an image of the proper setup so I can try to make sure I have this done accurately.

Asked by: Nigel
Sorry, don't remember. We uninstalled it as it was working out for us.

What are the SKU #s for the filters and are they available in-store? jun17

Asked by: rond
The part numbers stated need to be pinned/ linked to this product as it was hard to find them, I was in the store and they had no clue plus when the fellow that helped searched the Watts website and he couldn't find them as well as the part # shown in the owners manual doesn't match anything in a search.

I've had the unit for just over a year and the recovery time seems to be much longer than usual. Water still tastes fine and pressure is still regular, what could be causing this?

Asked by: camstroz
The tank may need to be re-pressurized or the filters may need to be changed. For more information specific to your unit please contact customer service at 1-800-752-5582.

Could I mount this in the basement and run the line for my sink from there?

Asked by: Curious
Yes, you would be able to mount the unit in the basement. You may require a booster pump depending on the distance from the sink/faucet. I would suggest call the technical department at 1-800-752-5582. They will be able to assist you with your specific application.

Is it possible to attach this system to both a water spout at the sink, and my refrigerator for making ice?

Asked by: Burnsy
Yes, you can run the R/O faucet at the sink as well as the icemaker. You will need to purchase an ice maker kit which comes with either 3/8” or ¼” fitting.

Does the final water have a healthy ph level? I understand that stripping everything from water makes it very acid, and not healthy.

Asked by: Burnsy
The final filter that is included with the R/O is just a gac filter that removes any residual chlorine taste/odor. The membrane of the system will change the PH levels of the water. You can purchase a PH balancing filter that can be added to any of our RO systems. They are normally sold in 4 different configurations. An 11” with 3/8” fittings, an 11” with ¼” fittings, 9” with 3/8” fittings, and a 9” with ¼” fittings. You can install them on the line running from the tank to the faucet just like the inline filter.
