Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad motor design I have 11 year old Weber Genesis with the original rotisserie and both still work perfectly. I just purchased a brand new Weber Genesis II for my cottage and put it together today. I thought I better buy another Weber rotisserie for this new BBQ as I will be using it just like my old one. Not so much I don’t understand when I put the end into the motor you have to remove the motor to get the rotisserie pole out of it. I tried many different ways to pull it out and not a happy person. Ho do I fix this issue and is anyone else have the same issues. Looking forward to some help with this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Noice I've purchase this with my new BBQ (Genesis II 300). It is long enough to hold 2 chickens which is great. It is too low and the grills needed to be removed to cook chickens. The motor is very noisy, so noisy that I've replaced it with the motor that came with my old BBQ. I was fortunate to kept it and it fitted. It is very disappointing to have paid this amount for only a rod that fit the BBQ because of the noise of the motor. I was expecting better quality for the amount paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great rotisserie Received the rotisserie a month ago and barbecued a chicken on indirect and my wife said it was the most moist chicken she has eaten. I was skeptical to purchase the rotisserie after reading some reviews but I had no issues with the rotisserie. It is weber quality. I have been using weber barbecues for the past 30+ years and have recommended weber quality barbecues to family and friends. I usually barbecue 2/3 times/week and the rotisserie gives me more cooking options.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems To Be Decent Quality I was dissapointed to see that the Weber rotisserie I ordered is made in China. I am a strong supporter of " Buy American " first. Surely Weber can hire an American company to manufacture a top quality rotisserie. I would have no problem paying more if I knew it was made in the USA or Canada.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not fit 2022 Genesis Grill Like a lot of the other reviews say, this does not fit and is not designed properly: 1. Cord points towards the front 2. Motor sits too low for the spit to properly slide in 3. The spit is too short This is going right back to the store. Very disappointing - I use Weber BBQs because I trust they work well and I can get all the accessories I want/net. I regret having bought my new 2022 Genesis, since there is no compatible rotisserie kit to go along with it. My opinion on Weber has changed completely based on this experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor torque I was told by the salesperson that this Rotisserie had such a powerful motor that no counterweight is needed. So I tried it with a 5 lb chicken and as soon as one of the wings became lose, the Rotisserie stopped turning. My old Weber-compatible Rotisserie, which dis came with a counterweight, would have started turning in the opposite direction. Another problem is that the sleek handle does not allow the user to notice that the motor has stopped turning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rotisserie I read the negative reviews and thought Weber was better than this. I opened the box and found that all of the items were made of stainless steel. This was a big plus. The motor bracket attached readily with the table in place. So simple. Slide on the motor, use the extended spit, remove the grids and you're ready to BBQ. The motor ran queitly hour after hour. I was right Weber make a quality product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job Works good. The only issue is I wish you could choose which side the motor is mounted on. You also have to remove the grates in my bbq model which is a bit inconvenient. Otherwise it works great and has a nice slow even rotation.

Weber Electric rotisserie for gas barbecue with 2 or 3 burners Genesis II does it need a weight on the rod to make a counterweight

Asked by: mike
Hello! Thank you for your interest in our Rotisserie! This does not require a weight on the shaft to hold it down. The recommended maximum wight allowance for our rotisseries and motor would be 20 LBS. Thanks!
