Rated 2 out of 5 by from Genesis II LX Rotisserie I just purchased a new Genesis II LX and also purchased a rotisserie. The bracket for the rotisserie is a very poor design. The motor actually rests on the side tray when the spit is not inserted into the motor. The spit holds the motor up. This is a disappointing design flaw should have been avoided. The motor bracket must be redesigned to fit the current grill design. Also, the height of the side trays should probably be lowered to increase the space between the motor and tray for cleaning purposes. My previous Weber gas grills did not have these issues. I have had a couple other Weber grills and I was very happy with the design. This issue must be corrected. Thanks

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Serious Design Flaw Ruins What Could be Great The rotisserie itself is OK but if you use this with the newly designed Weber Genesis II 310 series grills there is a design flaw that makes this product almost unusable. The problem is that the slots in the bed of the grill that the bar for the rotisserie has to turn on have been lowered and now only the smallest chickens can actually turn and not hit the flavorizer bars or an aluminum drip pan (if you use one). This is a very poor design choice and should have been figured out prior to release. Additionally, they use a two piece bar for you to put your chikens on. This makes the whole setup a lot weaker. I would love to see Weber return to their previous deisgns (I have owned their gas grills for the past 30+ years) and this is by far the worst.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Motor mount issue While I love the overall design, there is a fatal flaw, and I would request the design team please address it, and offer a free updated product fix. The mounting bracket is not stiff enough! The mass of the motor causes the bracket to flex. During operation, the end of the meat shaft ends up slipping out as the motor droops away. The shaft doesn't slip all the way out, but enough so it no longer engages. So the meat ends up being stationary while grilling. I believe the fix might be a more rigid version of the bracket, and, perhaps some sort of end guide to prevent the shaft from disengaging.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst designed rotisserie ever I bought this for my new WEBER grille and could not believe that they made such a horrible product. To use, 5he left side table has to be lowered making it useless. It has to be lowered before you mount the motor bracket as you can’t lift the table out with it mounted. The handle of the spit is METAL not wood. I think that will be quite hot after several hours of cooking. Also, the spit sticks in the motor and does not come out without jerking it out. Might be a problem with several pounds of meat on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good except needs redesign for 2022 model We bought this rotisserie for the new Weber Genesis, as the old one wouldn't fit. It works well, although I feel it should be redesigned for this year's new model. This motor cord now runs toward the front of the grill since the burner was moved from right to left side table. This required the motor to be mounted on the opposite side from last year. Also, the skewer/rod is two pieces screwed together, with more than necessary grooves along the length. Perhaps that is for use on other models, but it feels like an after thought to use on this grill, plus it is just more grooves to clean after use. Overall its doing it's job just fine and I'll keep using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome addition to the grill I've used my rotisserie three times and love it. I've cooked two chickens, a pork loin, and picanha steak. As someone who's been grilling for decades I really wish I'd gotten one sooner. It takes any guesswork out. You just heat the grill to temperature, put your food on, start the rotisserie and pull it off when meat's at temperature. It's super easy to set up. I've had no issues with the food I'm cooking being too large for the space and hitting up against a drip pan or anything. Next up is prime rib. I'd say to buy this with confidence--just make sure it's the right one for your model of grill!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn’t Quite fit 2022 Genesis E-325 I love my 2022 Genesis grill, however, this rotisserie doesn’t quite seem to fit. The motor looks like it sits too low on the bracket and raises off the bracket when I put the spit on the grill. The rounded indents on the spit itself don’t line up with the cutout on the side of the grill so the square part rotates in the indent. I thought this may have been a defective unit and warranty returned one. I’m in my second one and it’s still the same issue. My 19 year old rotisserie fit the grill perfectly and I’m disappointed by this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weber needs to fix this I have had the prior weber genesis model and rotisserie for ten years and have rotisseried 28 pound turkeys on that setup that is rated to 30 pounds. This one is a piece of garbage compared to it. The ‘new’ model moved from a stiff one piece spit to a flimsy 3 piece that doesn’t stay loaded into the motor when it’s turning. Weber engineers, please make an attachment with some heft. Please also move the spit notch on the grill forward (like the prior model) so that the meat is more in the middle of the grill.

Well if you call Weber directly they recommend this rotisserie for the older model Genesis 330. They stated the burn box size has not changed.

The instructions are terrible. Basically you screw the bracket to the holes on the left side of the grill. Slide the motor on to the bracket. Screw all the pieces of the spit together (they are left hand threads). Put on one of the forks (facing the pointed end, put the meat on the fork, put on the other fork into the meat. Remove the grates and warming rack. Center a drip pan with a little water on the heat deflectors. Preheat the grill to the desired temperature using only the outside burners. Put the spit into the motor and into the slots on the grill. Center the meat over the drip pan and tighten the forks. Close the cover. Turn on the motor and enjoy really juicy meat.
