Rated 3 out of 5 by from S-435 Review Great looking grill. Now the downside. Upon delivery, ignitor for the side burner didn’t work. Contacted Weber and they sent a new ignitor assembly. I had to install and now the burner is functioning. Two weeks of ownership and the stainless grates are rusting. Contacted Weber and they shipped a full set of new grates. Upon receipt I checked the grates with a magnet and in fact they are strongly magnetic. So the grates are a low grade of stainless so I will see how long these ones last. On the positive side, Weber customer service was very pleasant to work with and very responsive. Summing up, I would expect more from a grill this expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Purchase Finally broke down a purchased a new Weber Grill. I had a Genis Gold that was 18 years plus and i cannot talk about that grill enough. We decided to purchase a new Weber and the 435 was a great choice. No lie it took a few times to get used to even heat, and fantastic indirect eat but that grill has surpassed all expectations. Steaks, ribs and vegetables come out perfect every time. There is always even heat and we have used aa cast iron skillet on it and it is fantastic. Our next purchase is for the flat top insert and i am waiting for that. If your going to get a new grill i strongly suggest you look at the 435

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 21st Century Grilling I finally needed to replace my 25 year-old Genesis 1000, gifted to me on Father's Day in 1997. I was confident I'd want another Weber, but since much has changed in 25 years I researched many different brands. I ultimately selected this model and couldn't be happier. Expansive cooking area, incredible heat, and the sear station is the upgrade I didn't even know I needed. Plenty of storage in and on the unit and the additional workspace comes in very handy. Not to mention its beautiful looks. I use the grill 4-6 times per week. Very pleased with the performance so far and looking forward to many great meals.

The assembly process is very difficult because the instructions on paper don't match the instructions on line, and neither those two match the packaging the grill came with. Boxes labeled with sharpies, content misplaced and content mixed in different boxes was a nightmare. Add to threefold that the grill in the paper instructions and the grill in the on line instructions were different to the grill i got (same model number, but seemed to be different model year) For example, the grill on line had a long rear axle and 2 big round wheels, the paper instructions had 2 locking casters but in reality i got regular faster of different size

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grilling with the Ferrari of BBQ's (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My new Weber machine was bestowed upon me as a gift for my 60th birthday. And what a gift. I've owned several BBQs over the years but nothing comes close to this turbocharged cooking experience. Aside from the fact that the design is so aesthetically pleasing its the performance that stuns you. My model has a designated surface area called a Sear Zone that brought my grilling temperature to just under 700 degrees, which in my estimation is about 699 degrees hotter then my last BBQ. I cooked a steak to such perfection that I was emotional for over 24 hours. My Genesis is a masterpiece.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality isn't as good. This is my 3rd Weber gas grill. The S435 is the biggest and lowest quality of the 3. First, the gasser has the thinnest metal of any Weber cooker I've owned. Second, assembly wasn't as easy as it could be because screws were missing from the bags and Weber uses too much packaging. Third and most importantly, the grill igniter system was defective. Customer service did respond and replaced the entire ignition system so it works as designed. This will be my last Weber. If it doesn't last, I will replace with another better quality cooker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sept. 2023: GENESIS E-435 Grill (Liquid Propane) Very happy with the performance of our CMy wife and I put it together in about 5 hours and while we stumbled a bit with the essentially all-pictures assembly manual, on-line videos helped us along where the pictures alone weren't enough. In that one regard a supplemental sheet with some key points written out would have been helpful. But can't question the parts quality nor the engineering of the design and solid construction once its put together. And finally how the food (particularly items that are seared or retain the smoke grilling) tastes --- we've previously owned Weber's before, but this one really does the job well and its nice to have the side burner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but doesn't compare to my old Weber I had a 15 year old Summit S670 and the cart has rusted out on it. Finally decided to buy a new Weber but didn't need all the bells and whistles and the price of a new Summit. The new Genesis cooks really well and still gets super hot even without the searing burner on but it's definitely lower quality steel and construction then my old Summit. For example,the Summit lower cabinet was fully sealed but this has about 8 inches under the grill top open and the drip pan is exposed. Animals could easily climb inside. I question if the new grill will last 15 years like the old one.

what are the dimensions of the right surface (looking at the grill from front)?
