Rated 4 out of 5 by from stainless steel, i have had the grill for seven years.its my third Weber in 30 years. I love the grill, but here are the weak points< the wind will blow out the burners when on medium or lower. had to replace 3 knobs ,the inside strips out. the doors are thin, and the two wings (extensions of the grill)are starting to rust ,i do keep excellent care of the grill i even used steel wax to protect all the steel. the lights on the handle(i have three)separate sometimes the connecters don't hold together to well ,and the LEDS seem to stay on (very dim)when the cover is down, and yes i have shifted the lights.. other wise it cooks great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rusting away I would never buy this again. They have used such cheap screws and they are all rusting away and the covers are falling apart. I am really picky with my bbq. Clean it before and after every use. Have a company coming servicing it every year. Cover it all the time when I don’t use it. It is in regular use. And live in sunny San Diego far away from the ocean so that the weather can not be the issue. By the way the rotisserie stopped working too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Grille - much better than my previous brand So far we love it. We are on the Peconic Bay in Laurel, nY. It's windy and the only issue i have is i cannot light the rotisserie element.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought it 8 years ago and still looks like new. I only had 2 problems so far and Weber took care of them under warranty. Replace light switch for knobs and replaced the thermometer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Knob are plastic and break easily This is my 3rd Weber grill. I loved the 2 previous ones. The gas built in summit s660 built in is not constructed as well. 2 of the knobs have already cracked. Waited on hold twice an hour each time and then was disconnected.

How many btu’s per burner

Asked by: Joe
Hi Joe! The Summit S-660 is designed to reach at least 500 degrees with all the burners set to High, and the lid closed within 10-15 minutes. The main burners have a 60,000 BTU-per-hour input. Thanks!

Do you need to vent for gas in the side build in"s?

Asked by: Garth
Hi Garth! Ventilation holes must be provided in the structure at the top and bottom to provide ventilation in the event of a gas leak. Ventilation holes can be located in a low visibility area and should be protected by screening material to prevent rodents and insects from entering the structure. Air holes will also help dry moisture. Thanks!

Can this grill be used free standing until an island can be built at a later date?

We will be building an outdoor kitchen in the near future but would like to use this grill in the meantime
Asked by: Lou
Yes. It actually has rollers built-in, that get immobilized once you have it set in place. We are doing this very thing now, while we wait to have adjustments made to our slot that the old grill came out of.

Can you install without the cabinet underneath

Asked by: Kenh
Not without extensive tweaking. It has a pretty substantial drip pan that runs the entire length of the grill, that funnels into a smaller foil, disposable pan.
