I installed many of them when we redid all the door handles, so they became very easy to install. We used the door/closet version, the bathroom version and the external keyed version. All three were simple to install. Re-keying the external handles was dead simple allowing us to use one key to all doors. I installed them into both existing doors and new doors. The depth of the mechanism adjusts to two settings making so I had no issues. (FYI, I am a rear person, not a fake reviewer)

We did not receive paperwork on these from the builder and did not know they were lifetime guaranteed. I will call to see what they say, but have tossed some of the broken ones. I am replacing with same style as I don’t want to spend the cost of replacing them all with something different. Very disappointed in these. Would not use on our next build. Do not recommend.

Can this be used on an exterior door?

I do not want a locking door knob on my exterior doors. I want the deadbolt to be the only lock. Can this be used on an exterior door?
