The Halo Touch fingerprint smart lock allows you to simply use your unique fingerprint to lock and unlock your door. Halo Touch has Wi-Fi built-in that connects directly to your home Wi-Fi network and smartphone for a secure smart home that does not require a third party smart home hub, panel or subscription. With up to 100 fingerprints (50 users), you can give access to your family and friends with their unique fingerprint and manage access through the Weiser app. You can also lock and check the status of Halo using voice commands with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This single cylinder deadbolt can be locked or unlocked by using your fingerprint or key from the outside as well as the turn button from the inside.

However, it doesn't always recognize your finger print and you have to use the key, or the kids can't get in and are stuck outside! Then about 2 days ago the lock started jamming and we are unable to fix it. For the amount the lock cost we would've thought it would work better and last longer. So looks like we need to get a replacement. :-(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks Beautiful BUT We thought this was the answer to our dreams but although 4 members in the household scanned their fingerprints (2 each) It often does not recognize the fingerprints and that usually happens when you have a load of groceries or when your kids come home at 2 am and have to call you to open the door. In essence it sounds wonderful but the reality is it does not work as advertised and given the price a big investment for something that does not work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please don't waste your money! The app is awful and super frustrating. The locks are unreliable and terrible for any function more than a really expensive keyed deadbolt. Aside from that, the customer service was the absolute worst. They were rude, extremely unhelpful, and then hangs up after telling me my internet is not compatible. My internet is exactly what the lock requires. 2.4hz, wpa2 secured. My biggest regret is by the time anyone sees this review, they may have already purchased the garbage lock.

We were so excited to have receive this for free on influencer to review, this lock as it was something we’ve been looking to at instal into our home! I am not DIY handy at all and was really relieved then the instructions were so clear and simple they even show you step by step! The design is sleek and modern and I love the “matte black” finish. Beat of all is the fact that my kids can now enter our house without we having to worry about them losing their keys! An added bonus for us was that it was simple enough to set up with Alexa! Great product, will definitely recommend it to anyone!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible Battery life even with Duracell battery I wish we never bought this HALO. We barely use our front door where this lock is installed and mainly use our garage entrance to enter the house. This eats up battery life so fast that it’s annoying. I feel like I have to change the battery every 1.5 month even if it’s not used very often. I think its connectivity to the Wi-Fi is the reason why it uses up so much juice. I used Duracell batteries btw so it’s not because of the batteries I use. The finger print scanner doesn’t read finger prints very well so I would need to use my key most of the time. I don’t even trust this lock to allow me in the house so I would probably be caught dead frozen in the frigid weather before this lock can recognise my finger print.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Electrical components only covered for first year The electronics crap out after a couple years and the warranty is only for the first year. The lock is worked well for the first year and then started going downhill from there. Batteries won't last more than a couple seasons especially if you're having trouble connecting to it. The app is useless as it rarely connects to the lock even with the modem right next to it. Customer service could've done better but at the end of the day was told to just use the mechanical key or go buy another one! No thanks. Buyer beware, wasted a lot of money on these for exterior doors. Would not recommend.

The app is not the easiest to use but has seen some improvements but once it is setup, the lock has operated fairly consistently. The main issue is that the fingerprint sensor is not designed/built to last. My finger sensor has suddenly become unresponsive and will not lock nor unlock. Weiser's position is that as long as the electronics last one year, it is no longer their responsibility.

Par contre, la configuration avec le WIFI 2,4GHz n'a pas été possible (même après avoir changé le prolongateur de portée sans fil pour un modèle compatible selon le fabricant avec la serrure Halo Touch). Nous avons suivi à la lettre les instructions pour compléter le couplage avec le WIFI sans succès (plus de 20 tentatives). Même avec le support téléphonique de la compagnie, ils n'ont pas été en mesure de régler le problème (le technicien nous lisait les mêmes instructions que le manuel d'installation que nous avions entre les mains). Nous avons tout remis dans la boîte et retourné le produit. Ça ne faut absolument pas 329$ +tx. Ne perdez pas de temps et votre argent sur ce produit. Frustration garantie.

Is this lock waterproof?

The Halo lock is intended for installation on a door where the lock's interior is enclosed and protected from the outside elements. The touchscreen can face the exterior and withstand rain, sun, and snow. The full lock is not weatherproof and is not recommended to be installed on an exterior door with no covering.
