Rated 1 out of 5 by from Biggest waste of money Bought it a month ago and I am so disappointed with it. Everything is an extra cost, 1 free eKey with purchase and then you get charged extra for more eKeyspecific for you own lock, WiFi dongle is an extra $179 plus shipping cause $250 wasn't already over priced. The lock doesn't even recognise when it's locked manually so you are standing get out in the cold and the lock tries to lock again when touched once even though it's already locked. Single touch is supposed to unlock and triple touch is supposed to lock but it still tries to lock regardless. Communication with smart phone is extremely slow and the app is unreliable. This is the dumbest smart lock on earth. Spend your money elsewhere!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product. Have multiple. I have to laugh at the negative reviews by people who clearly don’t know how to follow instructions. It is 1 tap to lock and unlock. Not 3. LOL. This lock notifies you when you need to replace batteries. It beeps once and shows the colour orange when you lock it, and it shows green and 2 beeps when you unlock it. It locks and unlocks quickly. However, It is electronic and uses an App. So you have to know how to use your phone. Don’t blame the lock because you don’t know how to use a smart device. Bluetooth must be ON, and the App must be installed, configured correctly, and running. If there is an iOS update - find out BEFORE installing it if your App will function. Sounds obvious. We use this lock on multiple doors every day without issue. I highly recommend it to people who know how to use smart phones and follow instructions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Product Bought this lock a little while back. Looks great, neat and visitors love it. However, this is a terrible product. Most of the time it does not work, and when you don't want it to work, it works. We open the door to let our guest in and the door locks. We unlock and it relocks itself. Out of 4 keys (iphone keys) only 2 work, and it takes a while to open (6 seconds or so). The other 2, have to use a real key. My whole family mocks me about this product and no one wants it. DO NOT BUY

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy The only good thing I can say about this product is their customer service. I bought two of these last summer and have had nothing but problems with them from the start. Have had to call customer service three times since we installed them. Every time they were able to resolve the problem but it took at least half an hour every time and the solution would only last a few weeks. Sometimes it takes a real long time to lock or unlock, sometimes I have to try three or four times to get them work. We will be taking these out and replacing them with the security code style locks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall great product You have to set your expectations right before buying the product. The extra virtual keys have a price. In case you want to be able to operate via wifi (no only Bluetooth from your home but from anywhere) works only if you purchase an extra device that cost extra. Having said that, the device works always good. My wife and me we always open/close the door, send digital keys to neighbors and dog sitters.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea, horrible execution When I first got this it was great. 250$ for a door lock that opened as long as I had my phone on me. However with updates to android the app didn't stay up to, functionally. With android 9 I always needed to open the app at least some point close to the time I wanted to use it. With android 10 the app no longer works. I'm sure/hoping they'll fix it but I don't and can't recommend this at all.

It's bad enough that you stand in front of your door with bags of groceries tapping the thing hoping THIS TIME it will open, yesterday it just failed. Apparently it's jammed, so now what do I use to lock my house while I try to avail myself of the lifetime warranty. Never again.

They're great. Emailed me right away and very helpful. Step by step they walked me through it. Remember. Read your instructions. I rate this 5 star.

What happens when your phone is sitting on the other side of the door(within bluetooth(30ft)? Can a stranger press the lock and open your door?

Kevo has an unique inside -outside sensor to detect if the authorized user is inside or outside of the house. Performing the calibration process on your smart device or Kevo fob will enable this feature. This will reduce the risk of accidental unlocking by an unauthorized user outside. Certain home configurations may impede the Kevo lock’s sensor more than others. Example: Your home office is located next to your entryway, and part of the office extends past the front door, jutting into the front yard. If your device is being actively used in that office extension, the Kevo lock’s sensor could possibly detect the device as being outside of your home while that device is in active use.

When will Kevo be available for Android?

How many fobs come with it? How much are ekeys to purchase and are any included?

Kevo is compatible with SmartPhones that support Bluetooth Smart Ready/Bluetooth 4.0 hardware and have an available Kevo mobile app. Currently Android 4.3, as well as Blackberry 10.1, does not fully support all Bluetooth LE features required by Kevo, but we hope it will soon. When it does, we will be ready shortly thereafter. We have plans to support all possible mobile devices. In the meantime, you can still enjoy touch-to-open entry with a key fob and migrate to your Android device when available. You can sign up for email updates with Kwikset to be notified about Android and other SmartPhone updates as they become available. Each Kevo lock includes one Kevo fob, one e key and two standard keys. For further questions please contact Kwikset at 800-327-5625.

Is this a second generation Kevo? What are the dimensions of the inside lock system?
