I really like how it looks, however if it gets locked as it often does -- this is on a bathroom door shared by 2 bedrooms, it is frustratingly difficult to open! Other brands of those lever handles come with a 'key' -- basically a thing you use to poke into the hole in the handle and the handle unlocks. This one just came with a tiny Allen key which you have to spend a long time fiddling with to get the door open, which is horribly inconvenient in the middle of the night!

I bought 3 of these, and one of them that I installed now doesn't work when you try to lock it. You get what you pay for with this product. Looks nice, but it's not good quality.

Once installed I realized I needed to pull the handle up to open/close the door instead of down. Now I have to remove everything and return it. Still it is a good handle if your door opens the right way.

Two questions: 1) Is this actually reversible or not? It is still listed as such when one reviewer commented that it wasn't. Please confirm. 2) Can you unlock it from the outside, and how? (i.e. an emergency key to use through the small hole in front?)

Weiser Milan Privacy Lever is fully reversible, can be installed on both right-handed and left-handed door. This model comes with the emergency tool to unlock from the exterior side.
