Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Loved my previous Whirlpool washer so when it was time to replace it, this was an obvious choice. Unfortunately, it was not a good purchase. The machine does not fill properly, even on Deep Water, it does not clean the clothes, I've had to rewash several loads because they did not come clean or came out with stains on them. It is very loud on the spin cycle; the sense feature does not accurately determine the load, the water doesn't fill and I have to use the faucet feature to put enough water in the machine. I cannot set it and walk away, I have to stay and ensure that I can add enough water so the clothes wash properly. Overall, I am totally disappointed and feel it was a total waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Very Bad Experience Well this washing machine stopped working after 10 short weeks and has now sat broken and idle in the basement for over 16 weeks now. We have been back and forth with the repairman and Whirlpool Canada trying to get this thing fixed. Currently parts we need are on back order, no ETA. We have had the inconvenience of travelling to the laundromat and its usually about $30 per visit plus gas. We received $50 from Whirlpool for our headaches and they have paid for all the parts and labour so far. We had to buy a used washer as a remedy and its working out fabulously. Really, really regret this purchase, it has been a gigantic headache that keeps dragging on. This is my honest review. Best of luck with your purchases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT CLEAN!! Love the Deep water option :) (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Been almost a month with my new Top Load Washer with Removable Agitator Model WTW5057LW and I am enjoying the great clean and the removable agitator to wash pillows or bulky items is great. I have this machine in my condo and the laundry closet is in the kitchen so I had to deal with some noise issue when the spin cycle was running. The drain hose was vibrating against the back of the machine and was so loud. I fixed this issue by putting a foam pipe insulator on the hose and it has certainly kept the noise away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This machine does everything I did NOT want a machine to do. I have the knowledge to balance my own load of clothes and I can do it quicker than this machine. I want ALL the clothes immersed in the water for a wash or rinse cycle-not just half the load. I have yet to see an article of clothing become clean without using water, as your user manual suggests; but that explains why I had to re-wash part of a load of dark clothes as they had a dried soapy residue on them at the end of the complete cycle. Wasting time, electricity and water. I want the option to quickly grab an item from the load that shouldn't be there (non color-fast), without trying to clear the "Lock Lid" feature. I have enough intelligence to NOT put my hand in a machine when the tub is spinning. I want to choose the rinse cycle water temp. My drilled well water is a much colder temp than city water supplies-more like "ice water", so I prefer a warm water rinse but this machine's "pre-programming" does not allow me that choice. The time length of some cycles seems excessive-up to almost 3 hours on one particular setting. Overall, I am disappointed that the machine is such an insult to a person's intelligence. (But I can also read and write cursive, I don't sign my name by grade 1 printing techniques.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I'm disappointed with this washer. Doesn't seem to be user friendly and instructions are not clear. There is no timer on the machine so I dont know how much time time is left. Washer was fine for 4 weeks and has started to make different types of noises, banging chirping and the drum spins out of control during the final spin. It is not an out of balance issue. Contacted Appliance Pro via a call back request and had to call again the next day to get assistance as no one called during the 2-4 hour window. Service call will not be be for 5 days.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I absolutely hate this washer I purchased this washer about six months ago and have hated it since day one. The clothes don’t come out looking clean and more often than not there is white residue on the dark fabrics. I have tried everything to solve this problem, more water, smaller loads, different detergent, less detergent, with the agitator and without but nothing works, most of the time I have to do a second rinse to get rid of it. I don’t have the time or the energy to do this. I wish I had returned it after the first load or better yet not bought it at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bring back a basic washer (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My issues with this washer are the low water levels and the temperature of the water. I prefer to wash in warm water. No matter what temperature was selected Hot or Warm the water was cool. To partially solve the temperature issue we have reversed the intake hoses so the machine thinks it is adding cold water but it is actually hot water added. To work around the water level issue I wait til the machine finishes adding water to wash then I add more water. I bought this machine because I didn't like the violent agitation of my last machine. I have traded one issue for 2 others. My friends and relatives all agree that if a company made a machine with all options manually chosen it would be a best seller.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wanted to love but nothing comes clean Bought this washer for our new home and I had such high hopes. Thought I’d be getting the best of both worlds- the cleaning power of an agitator or the space I need with no agitator. Well. Nothing. Comes. Clean. With either way (agitator or no agitator). I am so unhappy with this washer. It’s like they were trying so hard to save the water for a load that they sacrificed performance. Spots are still DRY when pulled out (even with small loads and deep water wash). I tried every iteration and it just doesn’t clean. I have two little boys and I need a washer that WASHES. This one does not.

How do you skip presoak

Asked by: Kath
Hi Kath, thank you for contacting the Whirlpool Central Advisors! As presoak is an option, you would simply cycle through the option button until the presoak indicator is off. However, most cycles do not have presoak set for their default setting, so most of the time it will already be off and you will not need to cycle through options. Have a great day! - Whirlpool Central Advisors

Does this washer come with a hose and everything needed to connect?

Asked by: AllisonML
Hello Allison, Thank you for reaching out to the Whirlpool central advisor team! We're more than happy to assist you. This unit does not come with hose, it has to be purchased separately, Best, Sam from the Whirlpool central advisors.

I have asked before about how to turn off the soak option responses have said does not come from factory with this set but mine did and I don't want it on and can not get the answer as to how to turn it off

Asked by: Kathy
Hello, thank you for contacting the Whirlpool Central Advisors team. For this washer, if you have a model with an LCD screen, you should be able to change type options while choosing your washing cycle. If you see that the Soak option is "On", you can press and hold its status and see it changes to "Off". In case you have a model with a control panel, change its settings by pressing and holding the cycle option you would like to select instead. Make sure the light above the cycle option turns on. I hope that helps. - Whirlpool Central Advisors team.

I was told to bypass the soak to use the option button. I tried that but it only seems to be changing another feature not the one I need
