Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Product with a Good History This product has stood the test of time, it has been around for a long time, 15 years or more I believe. The product has a 1 year warranty and I use it on mobile home roofs. In my experience the coating lasts about 6 years before it needs to redone. For a mobile homes, the prep and paint usually takes about 10 hours. On a standard mobile home with no addition, say 12 ft X 55 ft., it takes most of a 5 gal bucket to apply a base coat and then a top coat. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that to my knowledge there has been no recent evolution of the product's chemistry, and the customer support was only average

How many sqft would this product cover and how many coats for a good seal on a RV roof.

Coverage will vary with the texture and porosity of the substrate,. For use a s a roof coating 3.78L ( 1 US gallon ) will cover approx.. 3.2 sq. m. ( 32 square feet ) at 0.76 mm ( 30 mil ).

Has the SKU changed for this product, or did we buy the wrong thing? My receipt has SKU 059291082165. The label on the can is slightly different as well. Bought to coat an EDPM roof on an RV. No model # on the can either.

If we are using this on an EPDM roof, do we need to use a primer first? And how clean does the roof need to be?

Hi, Thank you for your question. Flexcoat WQ399 can be applied to EPDM roof membranes and does not require a primer, however, the surface needs to be as clean as possible for the best chance of adhesion. Washing the roof with a nonfilming detergent, rinsing well, and allowing it to dry would be recommended.

Can this product be used on a TPO roof?

WQ399 Flex Coat is recommended on RV roofs with aged EPDM membranes, but not for TPO roof membranes as there would be poor long term adhesion to the TPO membrane. For aged TPO roof membranes, we would recommend the HE487 Silicone White Roof Coating
