Rated 4 out of 5 by from Near perfect barn door rail kit Well built and a quality piece. I’m taking away a star because of the three frustrating Allen keys needed to finish the job. The first key is used to secure the door to the wheel. A simple screw or a push pin would be far easier here. You can’t turn the Allen key without hitting the rail. The second secures the fixed wheel to the rail. This was near impossible from above or below. A simple hand twist screw would work much better in this position. The third was the wheel adjustment. Again, a Phillips head screw would be better. Needing three sizes of Allen keys is a sign of design shortcomings. I hope these ares can be redesigned before I use these kits for my other closets

My doors are only 13/16” thick. Can I still use this kit? Can I build it out with spacers?

It it not recommended to use spacers with a 13/16'' door, not complying with the manufacturer standards. Good luck with your project.

The kit must be mounted on the side you intend the doors to open . It can open from either side as long as the rail is mounted on the side you wish the door to open. Good luck with your project.

Can I cut the mounting bar in half for a 48" to 50" single bi-fold ? Looking for the answer from the manufacture only please.

That track could be cut, the minimum size recommended is 1418mm two side leaving 100mm

Can the bar be cut down? I have a 60” opening and 68” available width outside of that so the 72” won’t fit in the space, it’s too long.

When both doors are open can they both be pushed to one side?

No they cannot. Doors can be folded but each door remains on one side each

Can this product be used for double bifolds on a 60” opening? And do you offer a similar kit for a single bifold door opening of 30”?

Hello,This Bi-Fold Barn Door Set is designed for door openings up to 72”, therefore, slightly narrower opening is less of an issue. That said, a 60” rail is better suited for a 60” door width, unfortunately, we do not have this size option in our bi-fold barn door kits.

There are 2 'floor guides' included in this set, but they look thicker then the standard guides in other sets. Does the bottom of the slab doors require additional work to make the bottom door slot bigger?

Hello, This Bi-Fold Barn Door Hardware kit does not include a standard barn door floor guide. Instead, it includes two bottom pivot plates and matching sleeves. There is some additional hole-drilling into the bottom of the door in order to fit the sleeve. We will submit the manual to Home Depot for your consultation. Note it will take up to 24 hours before the manual is visible online.
