I've had nights, especially when it is wet and raining, when it hasn't turned on at all. Including the night of Trick or treats when the kids could have used it. The last several nights it has been on.

DO NOT purchase this product, It hasn't lived up to its billing and now it won't stay on for more than a few hours no matter how much direct sunlight it gets. I was going to replace the batteries but turns out the battery PACK is 2 batteries soldered together in series with a 2 wire leed and small plastic plug that can only be purchased from the manufacturer. The manufacturer can't be reached. The 800# has been disconnected and the website is under construction???? Buy it if you want but you will be sorry you did.

I'm letting it charge through a window, to use as night illumination for an RV. The hollow base is not particularly helpful for my application, but the light is quite stable on a table. Great light!
