He looks for paint that spreads easily, doesn't cure too soon, applies equally well with a roller and brush and is easy to "cut" in walls to ceilings. This paint fits the bill perfectly. There is virtually no spatter and it dries to a nice finish. It ranks up their with higher costing paints and finishes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid paint choice for all over the house My contractor suggested I use this with the Zinsser Gardz Problem surface sealer to fix part of my shower ceiling because of moisture damage. It has good coverage and is working well so far. I didn't tint mine and used the white straight from the can and it looks good. I used it on some of the baseboards and high traffic areas of the house to keep the scuff and moisture free.

Is this paint good to use on the trim around an in shower window

If there's existing mould on the bathroom ceiling that was treated with concrobium, is it okay to just use two coats of this or mould stop primer be used? Does perma white contain mildewcide too?

You will need two coats regardless.  Actually looks terrible after the first coat.  Great after two.  I would recommend using something like Zinsser mold stop primer first.  Only because you are going through all this work, spend the extra time and few dollars to mitigate the issue before the finishing coats.  I do not think this paint contains a mold killer but due to the impermeable quality of the paint, does not give a foothold for mold to grow in.

Does this need zinsser mould stop primer? Can mentioned it's self-primer, just apply two coats. Q&A in zinsser mould stop primer mentioned using this before perma white paint. I'm confused when you would use zinsser mould stop primer?

Hi Confused, Our Zinsser Mould Stop Primer is used to paint over existing stains left by mould, mildew, moss, and fungi. It also contains a mildewcide to prevent the growth of mould and other fungal organisms on the paint film. Our Zinsser Perma White is then used as a topcoat for further protection. If you have no mould or mildew stains to block, you can go straight to using our Perma White Mould & Mildew Interior Paint to beautify and protect your interior surfaces. Hi Lett, Yes, our Perma White Mould & Mildew Interior Paint can be applied to your baseboards. Surfaces must be clean, sound and free of dirt, dust, grease, wax, wallcovering adhesive, soap film, loose paint or other surface contamination. Remove all existing mold and mildew before painting.

Just keep in mind that it is not intended for application to floors or any surface subject to water immersion or prolonged contact with water including shower enclosures, saunas or steam rooms.
