Rated 4 de 5 de par Product great, packaging needs major improvement The plant food itself is great, helps my veggies and herbs grow strong and healthy and yummy. But the packaging design can definitely use improvements. It is large, therefore hard to pour when full. when I tried to transfer some into the small bottles that came with the growing kits, it leaks terribly from the side, with a funnel or without. There are also solids in the formulation that settle very quickly even after shaking, so it is hard to make sure some of the solids are transferred along with the liquid so I don't end up with a layer of solids at the bottom of the container towards the end.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Label instructions are not accurate. After reading another review where someone had used it in their hydroponic systems, I knew going in that I needed to lower the volume per gallon required. I followed the reviews suggestions and it was much to high for my systems. My plants were not happy with the sudden inputs of high nutrients. After a few water changes and adjustments, my plants are happiest with between 1-2mL per 10 gallons of water. This is a good fertilizer. It will require some trial and error to find the correct dosage. Just know that going in.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Very disappointed It's great to have a large bottle of this stuff especially since I have the Aerogarden large farm model. We go through a lot of it. You should mention to people to keep it in the refrigerator since I'm having to throw out over half a bottle because it's developed mold. Disgusting. I would recommend to a friend but definitely tell that friend to keep it in the refrigerator.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Needs better features Hear me out: OK, it’s a giant bottle of nutrients, and it’s the nutrients I’ve wanted. Great! But the bottle itself could have a lot of improvements. 1. Bottle does not properly seal, even when screwed down all the way. Perhaps this is because the flimsy paper disc that was in the bottle top got detached? It got soggy with nutrients entirely without my intervention. Now I have to store the whole bottle in a plastic bag. 2. No pour spout. Wish it had one. 3. No easy way to dispense from this into the Aerogarden easily. Really wish I’d kept the smaller bottle…or, maybe they could make a bottle top that actually seals the bottle AND helps you measure, like laundry detergent.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Ecologically Friendly I originally had wanted to buy several of the three ounce size liquid plant foods, but since they were unavailable I got the 1 liter size. For convenience I can fill the last 3 ounce container using a designated funnel. Works.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Most economical in the long run I would think. This 1-liter size is good to have and it's been working out quite well for me. I saved the 3-oz bottle of Aerogarden plant food I had, rinsed it out well and pour the 1-liter, as needed, into the 3oz for easier access and use. I keep them under my kitchen sink away from heat. I'm assuming this 1-liter size stays fresh for a good while. I like that this 1-liter size was the most economical way to purchase the liquid plant food. I'm actually really happy I purchased it. I have it when I need it. I have my lettuce garden growing in my Bounty right now and my tomatoes growing in my Sprout right now so I need to have the liquid plant food available. I know that I'll have it available to use in this 1-liter size.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Measuring the amount of liquid Usually when you buy an aerogarden, it is supplied with a small bottle of liquid plant food and it states how many capfuls to apply depending on the size of the garden. With this 1 liter product, the cap is much larger and it only mentions the amount in ml to apply. Since the cap is a different size, it is useless as a measuring tool so I recommend not to throw out the small bottle and use this cap to measure. I haven't used it but supposedly you spill liquid when pouring it into the cap - the bottle mouth is much larger

Rated 5 de 5 de par A must have to grow in the AeroGarden I have tried other fertilizers in my AeroGarden, but did not get good results, it’s well worth paying a little more for the liquid Nutrients fertilizer to get the best results. Trial & big time error to use anything else.

I wonder if this is compatible with a system that uses a pump? I used another type and it was too thick and gummed up my pump. Thank you!
Posée par: CR
I have three Aerogardens - two small Harvests and the large Twelve. The Harvests use the Liquid Nutrients - they both have pumps that come on intermittently in order to aerate the water. The Twelve system (a recirculating water-based system) uses powder nutrients in pre-measured packages specifically designed for this unit which has a pump that is always on. I would hesitate to use liquid nutrients on this system

I have a 10+-year-old Meyer lemon tree. I use fertilizer specifically for fruit trees - E.B. Stone Organics for Citrus & Fruit Trees, which is a 7-3-3 food (more nitrogen). AeroGarden Liquid Plant Food is 4-3-6, and is much more expensive and not really formulated for citrus and fruit trees. I scatter the fertilizer along the drip line, mixing it lightly into the soil and let our drip irrigation system (and the rain) do their thing. I have lemons all year long.

Can you tell me if this is actually Organic? For it is mentioned in the title only & not in the description. Thank you Leona

"Organically-grown food is food that has been grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. Since the AeroGarden is an indoor appliance, pests and weeds are generally not a problem, so pesticides and herbicides are not needed." It's plant food, with essential nutrients. Works great, even with house plants

Does this come with the measuring cup or do you have to measure it with the cap?

Posée par: Gardener
No measuring cup is included. The package label includes measurements and feeding instructions for both Aerogardens and house and outdoor plants. For reference, 1 US teaspoon equals 4.92 militers.

How much would you put in per gallon

Posée par: garden
I use about 1 tsp in my watering can with about a half gallon or more of water when watering soil-based plants. For my Aerogardens, I file a "grow dome" about 1/3 full instead of using the cap when adding nutrients when prompted to do so by the unit - it's neater than using the cap.
