Rated 5 de 5 de par A Nice Classic-Style Faucet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just what you need for a retro / vintage bath! The handles are porcelain, not plastic, just like faucets of yesteryear. Drain assembly is easier to attach than most. Chrome finish is durable and shows no pitting after months of use. Lifetime warranty with free replacement cartridges available from American Standard. Hard to find a nicer classic-design faucet than this one!

Rated 2 de 5 de par Not for everyday use We installed this model 4 years ago and now have to replace it. One handle is seized up entirely and the other is starting to stick. To paraphrase our plumber, cheap material inside the handle has broken down and the unit is rusting from the inside out. The bottom edges of spout and handles are ruffling up and the is a ring of rust around all the parts that no amount of diligent scrubbing can clean. If you want to save money and plan on using it in a little used powder room it may look nice for a while, but I would not recommend this for everyday use.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Waste of money Bought this about 3 months ago. Hot water all of a sudden had little pressure. Looked under sink. "Braided" tubing has a kink in it. removed tubing, realigned it. still wants to kink. Upsetting have to replace $21.00 worth of parts on an $80.00 fixture. Do the math. 25% of cast replacement. Thank God Home Depot doesn't sell cars. Low price for a poor quality product.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Quality issues - hot water valve stopped working after a year I thought American Standard would be superior product. Something I would not have to repair or replace in the near future. For reasons unknown to me, the valve simply began leaking, then stopped entirely. Replacing the valve was not difficult, just unexpected.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Easy install, good fit and finish. Finish was flawless out of the box, and construction appears to be on par with, if not better, than the last pair of faucets I installed. I dislike plumbing, especially climbing into a cabinet or squeezing into a vanity to install a faucet. So anything that makes the process easier is a welcome addition. The quick connect drain line attachment works very well in that regard, making one of the more frustrating parts of sink installation an easy one shot deal. I hope quick connectors like these become the standard.

Rated 5 de 5 de par great faucet faucet was very to install, and it looks so good works great too.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Choose something else. We bought this 7 years ago from Home Depot. It's only sold here. The handles never did work right. One would spin and occasionally turn on or off the hot water and could be lifted off. The cold worked fine. The spigot was loose constantly even though I tightened the brass bolt under it. Now the handles spin with no action on the hot water side. I called American standard to get replacement plastic parts to hook up the handle to the hot water cartridge. They did send them free. I will try this once, if things don't improve I will trash this thing and buy another brand.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Very nice faucet! I was going to install and then decided to have a professional do it. Took him 2 hours. He wasn't thrilled with the pull up stopper type. Said they are tough to install and often do not work. However the faucet is nice and feels pretty solidly built. Works very well.

handle is stuck (repeatedly)

The cold handle continues to get stuck to the round piece below it, and I am unable to turn it. The hot side has never had a problem. I've been able to pull the handle straight out (up) to clean it off, but it is now too stuck to get out and I no longer get cold water. The faucet is 7 years old. Is this covered by the warranty? Or, if I am able to get it apart, is there a washer or some sort of rebuild kit that would help avoid this in the future?

What part do I need to fix a leak?

Our faucet leaks and I have no plumbing experience. Over time we have naturally pushed the hot water handle harder and harder past the "off" position, to the point where it is now inches past the original "off" position and it has a running leak. Not sure what part I would need ...

how do i remove the handle & escutcheon(handle from stem of cartridge)? no screws as in other faucets

I removed the lever (unscrewed) but do not see how to remove the small chrome part that lever screws into & turns the stem, cartridge on &off. I am a plumber with yrs of experience! what am I missing?
Posée par: mad man
Little cap/hat pries/pops off top allowing access to screw that locks handle to valve. In my case, used open-end adjustable (crescent) wrench and screwdriver to start shaft up and then series of open-end adjustable wrenches to get up and out.
