Rated 5 de 5 de par fitted 14" rough-in very well! Took a long time to find a 14" rough-in size AND elongated toilet to fit into the space. This model filled the bill and flushes very well. Looks good too

Rated 2 de 5 de par Poor quality control, substandard product... I purchased a 14" rough-in in linen . I wanted a one-piece, but when the contractor doesn't use a standard rough-in, you have to take what you can get if you don't want to spend too much. Disclaimer: I'm not new at this - been doing my own work for decades. Right away there were problems. After assembling and installing, I had a constant small drip under the tank. Not the supply line - new and correctly installed. Not the tank hold-down bolts - also snug and properly installed. Chased it down to the flush valve. I pulled the tank and found that the interior surface under the valve was not smooth; there was a substantial accumulation of a sandy coating surrounding the hole, something like an overspray. There was no way the gasket would ever seal against that mess! I removed and broke down the tank and got out some sanding discs and an extension. Luckily the junk came off with a minute or so of polishing. Cleaned and reassembled using some sealant under the bolts and the flush valve gasket (the gasket had been damaged by installing onto the debris, creating pockmarks in the sealing surface). I let the whole thing cure for a couple days to be sure, then filled the tank and monitored for leaks. That problem was solved. Photos attached, don't know if the resolution permitted will show the defects. After a month of use I keep noticing that the front of the bowl was not washing fully. I finally got out a mirror and checked under the rim. All the holes are there. Gave it a flush or two and saw NO flow from the three holes on either side of the front center hole. I got a thin steel probe and started poking each hole in turn. All six were plugged by junk, something hard that closed the hole completely. I raked around with the point until I broke through. A few flushes seemed to clear the holes out. Now the bowl washes correctly. Wow. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I feel sorry for the typical DIY homeowner who may lack the skills and tools to deal with shoddy manufacturing processes and poor (or non-existent) quality control. Maybe AS only tests 10%, assuming the rest are good?

Not sure if the problem is with the product or the ordering department, but we have ordered this product twice and tried to install it twice. Both times the product did not achieve what was promised. My husband had to build a back shelf to correct the error in this product because we needed a toilet and couldn't keep driving 54 miles to Home Depot to return it or reorder it. I cannot recommend this product if you need a 14" rough in. It doesn't fit.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Terrible flush performance This toilet (one of two purchased, is the most underwhelming performer we've ever owned. It was clearly not engineered to flush cleanly at the 1.28 gal level. The overflow tube is cut short so the water level can't be raised. Even a single sheet of toilet paper frequently does not clear on a full flush. Terrible performance - would return it but would have to break it free from the floor. Will find an extended overflow tube instead. The toilet - not the drain system is the problem.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Perfect fit & flush Replaced a 24-year old Sterling by Kohler 1.6 gallon gravity flush and am quite pleased! Awesome flushing action! Chair-height is great for those of us with creaky old joints. Elongated bowl is the only way to go and the compact size makes it fit.

What does it mean to have a 14' rough in? Will it fit where I have had a traditional size?

Posée par: June
The rough in is the measurment from your finished wall behind your toilet to the center of your floor flange. Most toilets are a 12" rough in.

In some of the reviews it says this will not work for a 14 inch rough in, says it is a 12 inch rough in even though the specs say 14 inch, will it work or not ???

Posée par: Chuck
Home Depot, Chuck, Yes, it will work for 14 inch rough in. I had to special order this due to my 14” rough in dimension (measured from wall to center of the outlet hole). Installed this in May '21, The toilet fit perfectly.

will a 3" wide x 7.5" high baseboard heater fit between the wall and the lower rear of the toilet? Center of floor flange is 14 1/4" from wall. there is no dimension shown for this on the spec sheet.
Posée par: Pete
Pete, It looks to me like the distance for the heater would be a little over 3". It would be very tight but it looks like it would fit. If you decided to try it you might want to dry rough it in first to be sure. Sincerely, your American Standard Consumer Connection Team

The manufcturer spec sheet states matching seat is #5321.110 EverClean® Elongated with Slow Close Snap-Off Hinges. Home Depot matching seat is Model # 5727119.02. Online sellers recommend Model # 5321A65CT.020. Can you please clarify

Posée par: tm1962
Hello tm1962, since this toilet is sold less the seat, you have the option of which seat to put on this. Seat number 5727119.020 would be the Cadet seat, But you do have the option of any Elongated toilet seat for the Cadet Pro toilet.
