The upper left corner joint doesn't match, so you can see daylight. Upper right corner has a bright shiny silver spot about the size of a nickel right next to the window track , it looks like it was ground down for some reason. When we ordered the door, we were asked which side we wanted to handle on. We opened the box, and the holes for the handle weren't predrilled, so what's the point of even asking. They do give you a very nice useless paper template and a wood boring spade bit to drill 3 of the five holes for the handle hardware. As for the windows, the top wasn't locked in on one side, so the window sat crooked in the track. After about 45 minutes of dinking around with it, I was finally able to get it in and working properly and also be nice and straight. The handle was supposed to be oil rubbed bronze, but is just black. The only good thing is it does look nice when finally installed. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand. The quality from Anderson has really gone down. I would expect better from an American made product.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great door! I'll admit I hired professional door installers, not a random contractor. I've had this door before in our last home and loved the convenience of being able to ventilate with either the top or bottom portion. Tilt in windows for easy cleaning, heavy duty lock. Love this door.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Not pleased I didn't have much trouble installing it. It is a storm door after all. But the first wind storm pulled it out of my hand and broke one of the hinges and bent the pneumatic closer. There is no safety chain due to the retracting screen design. The hinge is not made with a metal pin, but contains a few nylon inserts that hold the parts together. These snapped like glass. A call to the warranty site results that they do not warranty wind damage. What is the point of a storm door that is not covered for wind damage? I had to order replacement parts at my cost to replace the entire hinge side and the closer. I will definitely be looking at the hinges on the next door I buy. Not recommended.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Installation is not for faint at heart My husband and I have done lots of DIY projects, but this was the worst we have ever attempted. If your door width is not the exact smallest width that Anderson says it will fit, then you will have to build out the width to make the opening the smallest width. Nowhere in any web site or install manual does it say this. We found this out when we were about to install the latch track and noticed that the gap between it and the door was about 3/4 inch wide! Apart from this, it took us 3 days to install this door (yes, 3 days! (6 hour days). Everything was a challenge - reading and re-reading installation instructions many times and reinstalling parts when we got them wrong. You have to build the door basically because a door will fit left or right openings...yes, if you make all the holes to do so! Anyway, we are done, and the door looks great and works well, so we are happy in the end, but do think twice about DIY on this door.
