Rated 5 de 5 de par All good installs in a snamp. no cutting. adjusted to my door width. we are planning to get another one for the main door but all these types of units have one caveat I believe. The frame narrows the width of the doorway by about 1 inch. Only an issue if u plan on squeezing in a couch purchase, fridge etc. So depending on your doorframe and fridge size do the measurements first. In a pinch you can remove the screen assembly . But did it call for caulking underneath the frame? I forget. It was actually my 14 year old grandson who took the lead in reading and following the instructions . It literally took 15 minutes to install once you had familiarized yourself.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Just OK I find it really stupid that this door doesn't come with an adaptable sill adapter (ha!). A 32" - 36" range and it only comes with a 31" adapter. It looks janky. And if I want something that actually fits, I have to pay additional for the appropriate size to be shipped from the manufacturer. The door itself looks okay and the installation is ridiculously easy...even for a 5'4", 115 lb. old lady to accomplish alone. While the door does retract smoothy when guided, the video makes it seem much smoother and quieter than it actually is. It's definitely not something I'd want to push the unlock button and just let go. It's loud and meets the retracting side with a very loud thud.

Rated 1 de 5 de par While the product was easy enough to install the overall... While the product was easy enough to install the overall quality is lacking due to one flaw. The latching mechanisms are plastic. While that in itself isn’t necessarily bad the thickness and size make it easy to break. Upon my first week of ownership the latch broke when a 5 yr old walked into the screen without realizing it was closed. This broke the latch and a replacement on their website is not available unless you purchase the entire handle. What should be a 50cent fix is a 30 dollar replacement. Would have been better for them to have designed it with a magnetic catch rather than the inadequate latch system they have.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very pleased So easy to install, and it works great. So much nicer than a screen door. Love that it has a lock. Just don't push the screen to retract, let it roll up on it's own. So far we are very happy with it. We have noticed that it makes the overall opening of the doorway a bit smaller, so that could be problematic in the future when/if bringing in or carrying out large pieces of furniture. But if that is the case, there are only six screws that need to be removed in order to take it off the doorway, so no big deal - will be much easier than removing a whole screen door.

I LOVE the door but I would urge anyone that is going to purchase one to be sure to read the fine print...as in the "assembled size". I measured my door several times (height and width) to be sure and when I saw 80" on the box, I thought "perfect". What I didn't see until I had all four corners together was that it is actually 81" assembled and therefore wouldn't fit on my back door so.... the door itself is GREAT, please be sure to read ALL of the measurements before assembling the door and trying to mount it.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Pros and Cons Our prior Seiki Vista screen, in place 10 years, was destroyed by a teenager running through it. Bought this instead. Returned it after reviewing several issues. Pros Excellent instructions Easy set up and installation. Looks like sturdy design Cons The configuration and size of your door sill will change a lot. There is track for the screen that is about 1" high all along the sill, inclined smoothly on the exterior only. There is also 2 brackets that extend about 4" from the uprights onto each side of the sill. So your 36" sill will contract to about 28" at its base because of these brackets. In contrast, the Seiko Vista sill has a 1/4" track and no brackets, though the latter's installation looks more difficult.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Not kidding when they say 30 min installation Bought this after work to replace my old one from a different manufacturer. This one was on display an I like how it sealed the doorway. It took exactly 30 mins to install even after reading the instructions several times. It looks so much better than my old one. I’m concerned about the latching mechanism as I feel it might break over the years. It’s not a magnet like other ones so that’s a plus that I like. Just be gentle with the latch and you’ll be fine. The door works for left or right handed doors and there’s only four parts to assemble: top bottom left and right. They all click and snap into place. Six screws to the existing door jambs and then it’s all installed. They made it super simple!! I even got my 14 year old daughter to help and she understood the instructions easily. I wouldn’t get the ones where the manufacture is the only one that installs and make you pay twice as much for essentially the same product for them to install. I know because my brother paid twice the price of this one.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Incorrect dimensions listed on packaging - so I was not able to install. Unfortunately, I was not able to install this on my door as the size listed on the packaging is not correct. I have an 80-inch door with an 8-inch deep frame surrounding the door opening (including the sidelights) as is standard in my neighborhood. The height of the frame is 81 1/4 inches. However, the actual height of the screen is 81 1/2 inches. Therefore, this screen was not able to fit on my home. Had the packaging been correct, I would not have gone through the effort of purchasing this unit. So, if you have a framed doorway that is shorter than 82 inches, this will not fit.

Mine came out the bottom because it was not attached but it was attached to the top so I tucked it in at the bottom. Yours should be attached at the top as well, if not I would ask for a replacement unless you know how to attach it.&nbsp;

It won't fit. You can order one designed for a 78&quot; opening. Add in a 1x1 nailing strip on the top of your opening and it will work.

I bought this Andersen retractable screen door on June 12 .... and on Aug 18th, the plastic base pieces that holds the spring pins in place cracked and rendered the screen door useless. I have photos to present. Please advise who to contact.
