[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such an awesome looking mailbox post, and it was incredibly easy to install. I love the bronze finish. It's so beautiful looking in real life. I reused my old aluminum mailbox, but I'm going to get a new, matching bronze mailbox soon. That will be really sharp. The top of the post already has a built in mounting kit for attachment of the mailbox, so you don't need to buy a separate mounting kit. As you can see in my pictures, there are predrilled holes perfectly measured to fit all normal mailboxes that are 6" wide. If you have a mailbox that's larger than 6" wide, then two expander brackets are included. The various sized hardware for attaching the mailbox and the optional brackets is included, also. Since I had a mailbox already, the only additional purchase was one bag of Quickrete. I don't have a post hole digger, so I shoveled a hole about two feet deep and about 10" - 12" wide. I dumped the entire bag of Quickrete into the hole, then added one or one and a half gallons of water. Using my shovel to mix it together right there in the ground, I didnt get any concrete splatter on my shoes or my clothes at all. I immediately set the post in the hole, because the Quickrete is quickly firming up. After holding the post in place for 4-5 minutes, the concrete had hardened enough to walk away. An hour later, I added soil back into the hole on top of the hardened concrete, and attached the mailbox using four screws. Honestly, it just can't get any easier. The post is heavy duty steel and strongly constructed. I foresee it lasting a long time.

The galvanized steel means that I won't have to repaint the mailbox post every two years like I have been doing with the old wooden one. The post is long enough to really sink deeply into the ground. You can pour concrete at the base, but with our clay ground, I found that the post is light enough that it's not needed. The only drawback is the top plate where the box attaches. It's plastic. I expected it to be metal or something more durable. Not sure how long the plastic will last in our super hot summers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are using this post to support a large birdhouse rather than a mailbox. The post seems very solid, well built and was very easy to assemble. Be sure to fully tighten the set screw/bolts that attaches the two post sections together. I don't foresee any issues with durability. The rubbed bronze finish is very nice. There are several mounting options for different styles of mailbox and plenty of hardware for attaching your mailbox. I would not hesitate to recommend this mailbox post.

I know its just a mailbox post, but just a nice little touch to you front yard. Well made and comes with all hardware for different styles of mailboxes. The finish is very nice on the metal post. Feels very well made and should last a good long time.

We love the simple clean lines of this unit, and after installing it using poured cement, it should last for a very long time. We have had several wooden mailbox posts in the past that eventually rotted and leaned to one side. This should solve that problem nicely. And since the mounting plate is pre-drilled, installation was a breeze. Very pleased!

The wood mailbox post I had before broke when the snowplow went by and pushed heavy, wet, snow at a high rate of speed. I wanted something stronger, and this Coolidge steel mailbox post will do the trick. I can’t install it now, because the ground is frozen, but come Spring, I’ll install it. I’ve already put this post together and the metal connector plate ensures the two parts won’t separate. I tightened the Allen screws to their max and tried to separate the two posts and couldn’t. In my old setup, I had a mailbox, and my neighbor had their own mailbox on the same post. I created a wooden platform that sits atop this mailbox post so that both mailboxes can be accommodated. I also painted the wooden platform black so as to not draw attention to this custom add-on. All hardware was included and this was a fun little project. I doubt the plow truck will be able to take this post down!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Connector assembly is a poor design The connector piece between the two pipes with the two set bolts will not tighten up the joint. The mail box will turn at the joint fairly easily no matter how tight I get the set bolts. Any suggestions. I might have to fill pipes up with concrete. Need a better design!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sturdy post when installed as per the instructions. It is built to hold mailboxes from standard size to the large rural sized boxes. I chose this post to use for a different purpose. I needed a post for outdoor use to mount a water spigot and hose reel to for yard use. The benefit of this post for this purpose is I can make two out of one kit. If all you need is a plain post with a very good finish, this is a good solution.
