Rated 4 de 5 de par product Started using them for a backsplash. I actually created the pattern on a flat surface and taped all pieces together with blue painters tape then with a few strategically placed duck tape pieces - so when I lifted the lot, it would not all come apart. Well only two did - and I had a bit of jousting to get them into place, so it was not bad. I also used Liquid nails. WHY HD would discontinue this finish is beyond me. Stuff matches a lot of the stainless finish on their fridges, stove vents, dishwashers... Bring it back!

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great looking product but not so easy to install. Excellent quality except for the adhesive. I prepped the surface as suggested, but still had to use construction adhesive to ensure bonding. Stainless steel tile came with mylar protective sheets on face of tile that were extremely difficult to remove. There was no mention of this in the directions, and it added significant time to the installation. My customer loves it!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Best DIY product ever! We bought both the short and long grain tiles and installed them as a backsplash behind the range. They were so easy to use (we did use the adhesive method for extra durability) and look very stylish. They don't show fingerprints and are really easy to clean.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very professional looking I am glad I read all the reviews because they really helped make the decision to buy these. We decided on the straight up and down pattern since our kitchen is very modern. They were easy to put up but we did use silicone instead of what most people said to use. We decided this because we tried to use the liquid nails pro and it took to long to dry. We could only put up a few then wait an hour. Then we changed to silicone and it went up pretty fast. It only took a few minutes to set so you could move on. The cutting of the pieces was easy also as we used a chop saw with a metal cutting blade (hard to find) with a fine tooth. I think the blade was a 80 or 90 tooth. As you can see in the pictures this is behind a cook top and under a microwave.

Rated 4 de 5 de par high quality, high price. adhesive backing needs reinforced and they are hard to cut, but they look great once installed. These tiles are easy to install but do require adhesive supplements. We used a chisel to cut them and they were difficult to cut neatly. Some of the plastic coating peeled which for the price should not happen. Once the tiles are installed they look great and cleaning them is easy.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Used for small backsplash behind our stove This product is well made and gave us a great update for not alot of money. My husband used the subway style they give in the directions... Easy to use. He cut pieces using a hacksaw and it worked beautifully with a little patience and sanding.. Great product. Came in a week. Fast shipping..

size of sheet of stainless steel

i can not find stainless steel anywhere...i want it for a 6'x4' island... and then maybe for counter top and back splash
    Posée par: Anonyme
Hello! Thank you for your question! These Aspect Tiles are 3″ x 6″ and are sold in eight-tile packs (enough for one square foot). If you have a 6'x4' Island, you will need approximately 24-28 packs to cover your 24 square feet (overage for cuts and edges). Please feel free to contact customer care for installation troubleshooting (800.434.3750).

can tiles be bent for going into corners?

    Posée par: Anonyme
Hello! Thank you for your question! A chop saw (motorized miter saw) is recommended for straight cuts. A jig saw or scroll saw is recommended for non-straight cuts. For circular cuts, a hole saw works well. See Aspect Tile Installation Guide for additional information. All cutting blades must be fine-toothed “metal cutting” type. When cutting is complete, use a fine-grit sandpaper or a small metal file to debur the cut edges. Take the cut tile to the work space and place it in its intended location and make sure it fits properly. A four-inch brick set chisel and utility knife with a sharp blade can also be used for straight cuts on the tiles. The chisel maintains the rounded factory edge look. Measure and mark the tile where the cut must be made with a marker on the protective film. To fit into corners, using a utility knife, cut a strip of the back foam material out of the middle of the tile without cutting through the metal layer. You can bend the metal (top layer) to fit inside and outside corners. Please feel free to contact customer care for additional installation tips (800.434.3750).

Does anyone know you can put magnets on these tiles?

    Posée par: Anonyme
Hello! Thank you for your question! The Aspect tiles are not magnetic. These tiles are made of aluminum composite so they will not hold a magnetic force for iron or steel. Feel free to contact customer care for installation troubleshooting (800.434.3750).

would these tiles be better to but behind a counter stove before I use the smart tiles as I have a genn air counter stove .

    Posée par: Anonyme
Hello! Thank you for your question. Aspect has a heat index of 200 degrees (F) without causing any damage to the tile or panel. Refer to your stove (or other heat source) manufacturer for specific information. When installing behind your stove ensure there is 3-4 inches between the heat source and your Aspect tiles. Please feel free to contact customer care for installation troubleshooting (800.434.3750).

    How do you remove them?

Can you use heat from a blowdrier to unstick them from the surface and does that leave marks on the wall?
    Posée par: Anonyme
If one tile gets damaged etc., just use a drill with a regular boring bit and go through the tile. Once through, use a screwdriver in the hole to pop the tile off.

What tools are required for cuting the tiles?

    Posée par: Anonyme
Table saw, circular saw, chop saw. If only making a few cuts, no special blade required. If making many precise cuts, I would suggest a thinner finishing blade.
