Rated 5 de 5 de par Was Skeptical [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this stain believing that it was good, have been a home owner since the mid 1980’s with decks and always dreaded the deck care, after cleaning deck how I prefer used this stain with skepticism that it would perform how they said, Wow was amazing how it turned out! And they are not lying on clean and stain and entertain the same day, I cleaned and let dry before using but can see how the claims of one day may work, just follow the directions though and DO NOT APPLY IN DIRECT SUN! I woke early and stained before sun, when sun came out if you use it will disappoint you, don’t even try in sun turns to a mess.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Awful product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It looked great initially as one would expect, but 8 months later, I have a splotchy and expensive mess to solve. This was a new product last year, and with trust of Behr as a paint manufacturer, I thought I was doing the right thing. I should have used another product. Now I have to use their expensive remover on what was a brand new cedar deck last summer!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Major disappointment I bought three cans and got three different colors. The coverage is splotchy, every drip or lap mark shows significantly. It’s such a mess. I’m going to do a second coat to try to even things out but I’m not confident that it will look good when I am done and I will have spent much more money and time than I would have if I had chosen a better product. I wish I had read the reviews but I trusted that a behr product would be high quality. Avoid!!

Rated 1 de 5 de par terrible They say "oil based" but this is not true. It is like trying to paint rubbing alcohol on wood. Inconsistent stain. Impossible to work with and overpriced.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Not a great experience Have used many oil and water based stains in the past 25 years on the same deck, Behr Premium Quick Dry experience was not good, color inconsistencies, hard to apply evenly perhaps because of fast dry time. As indicated in one of the One Star photos, we also experienced rapid wear in less than a year, unusual for an oil based stain. Will go back to another brand of deep penetrating oil stain. Anoher odd thing was cleanup. I dipped the used brushes in mineral spirits as indicated and the stain didn't dissplve at all, as if I was using water. Had to discard the used brushes. The one plus was that it tolerates dampness. Most of our staining was done in extended dry conditions but some parts were rained on after an hour with no ill effect. I would not recommend this stain for a new deck in particular, as I suspect many of the application and coverage issues are related to the "quick dry" feature. And two coats according to the instructions are essential.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Seems decent. Time will tell. 3 stars instead of 4, just because I don't like the square can. I always make a mess pouring. You definitely have to keep a wet edge or it gets lap mark's. And mix container ocasionly. My small deck is in direct sunlight and after one year it needs done again.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Just AWFUL- Steer clear & save the aggravation I have always used Behr stains on my outdoor wood projects and enjoyed working with their water based products. They go on smooth and last a real long time on vertical surfaces- the screens I made from PT wood 17 years ago were stained with semi-a transparent stain and look decent to this day (sure, your deck surface will need a touch up coat after a couple of years, but that's to be expected). I live in the Toronto area, Canada and I was very excited to learn that Behr had come up with a new oil based stain and looked forward to trying it out on my new Cedar deck addition I installed June 2018. I waited 10 month for my pristine deck to settle and dry completely. Last week I pressure washed it clean, waited for it to dry and lightly sanded it down using a medium grade paper so the stain would have the best chance to penetrate and give me the long lasting results oil based stains are known for. What a shock waited for me! I shook the can well and stared applying it with a soft synthetic brush. Working quickly (I'm handy with a brush) I covered all surfaces trying to avoid runs and lap marks... What a mess I ended up with. Some areas simply would not take the stain! I can't believe this is their premium product!! Now I have mess to deal with. Being oil based, I don't even know if I'll ever be able to apply a water based stain in the future to fix it... so upset.
