It's also nice that door doesn't fall open, but it is so tight that my kids have difficulty trying to open it.The dish racks seem a bit difficult to use, but that might be because they are different than what I am used to or maybe designed for a German/European market. Also, when using the bottom dish rack I now understand why they have the tall handle. If you pull the rack out without holding that handle as you guide the bottom rack out you get the loud "crash" sound as the wheels transition from the main body to the door.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Wish I could return it. I read reviews on so many dishwashers and thought I was making a wise purchase. Bosch has a good reputation, but this dishwasher is horrible, I wish I had my old Kenmore back. Although they fit in the same space this dishwasher has way less capacity. The flimsy racks are set up at odd angles, making loading difficult. More disappointing is that it does not dry the dishes well. I’ve done all their suggestions and tips and I still have to hand dry several dishes. At times I’ve had to rewash as well as small particles were not removed. In addition it smells awful. I pre-rinse all my dishes before loading and I’ve used the products they suggest. Condensation builds up inside this dishwasher even when not in use, causing it to smell like dirty socks. There is no heating element in here to dry your dishes they are dried through condensation which is a very poor design in my opinion. I called the customer service number and was advised to put a towel inside to prop the door open to let it dry inside. Really? It’s a brand new dishwasher, I shouldn’t have to do that. I’d give anything to have my old washer back and can’t wait till I can afford to replace this one.

When I open it, the dishes are wet but they dry off as they cool. It is nice looking, inside and out. A bit narrower than my old GE was, so there's a slight gap on one side. It is not as quiet as my old GE Profile, but it is quiet enough. I like the utensil shelf. Things I don't like: it is hard to open. You really have to tug hard to open it and it wants to keep shutting. You have to push against resistance all the way down to open the door flat. Secondly, the buttons do not give any feedback, like beeps, when you press them, so it takes a little getting used to to know if you pressed hard enough to register. The silverware basket could be a little bigger. There are a couple sections on the racks where the prongs are close together so it's hard to fit my dishes between them, but there's always a learning curve with a new dishwasher and I'm getting used to how to arrange things. My city water is soft so I had to turn off the rinse aid or it was leaving a bubbly residue on my dishes, the manual tells how to adjust that and how to turn on or off added heat in the final rinse. Overall, it's a good dishwasher for the price and I hope it will last a long time!

After installation, I did a test run and it seemed to work fine. The machine work as promised, cleaning even the dirtiest stuck on food in a casserole dish. Controls are simple to use, and while running, the machine is so very quiet. Two thumbs up!

Rated 2 de 5 de par Questioning Reviews I do not like the way the front door just pulls open. It's kind of odd. I actually called Bosch because we couldn't figure out how to open it and we didn't want to force anything. The agent was ok. I used it with the first large load on Thanksgiving. Tonight I noticed my kitchen flooring is lifting and water is coming out of the floor seam. We laid on the floor and looked under it and it was a little wet on the left side of the machine. Oh boy....trouble. I am feeling like I should of kept my 15 year old dishwasher. I rarely give negative reviews. I was unable to actually see the model on the floor because it was back ordered. :( I will see what happens and let you know if I can.

My old dishwasher was 15 years old and tired so I had to replace it. I went with the Bosch because of the reviews for how well it cleaned and how quiet it is. I agree with both of those statements. HOWEVER, I would take a noisy dishwasher that I could load all of my dishes, baking pans, etc in over this one. Another reviewer had the same opinion. The prongs on the bottom rack are too close together, short, and at an angle that prevents versatility. I'm guessing someone who doesn't load dishwashers designed this unit. I have the same issue with the top rack. The prongs are in the wrong place. I have standard size coffee cups and mugs. I want to be able to decide how I'm loading my dishwasher and not have the decision made for me. I now have cookie sheets sitting on my counter waiting to be hand washed. It might not sound like a big deal but I work 12 hour days and am not interested in washing ANY dishes that I don't have to. I don't care if it takes 6 loads to get everything washed. Now I'm stuck with this for another 15 years. Not happy.

It's a little smaller than my Kenmore that broke after 15 yrs, therefore I need to run it more frequently. If the bottom rack isn't weighed down in the rear the wheels in the front get caught between the door & the bottom of the dishwasher. If the wheels were spread further apart I believe this problem would be solved. It does clean well. It dries nice especially with the sanitize option. I wish I was able to get another Kenmore. However, I'm sure I'll get use to this one. It looks nice. The surface is a finger print proof stainless steel. I was concerned about that because my dogs would leave marks from noses & what not all over it. So far I haven't seen any, that would drive me nuts. I am very happy with that. My husband hooked it up & it was a real pain. It comes with a power cord, which is strange for a diswasher. He had to put in an electrical outlet. We would have had to purchase the direct electric wire pkg, which is how all our other dishwashers were wired. After 7 hrs & 2 different trips to home depot he said it would have been worth the extra $. The delivery guys were quick & professional. The girl that helped with getting it ordered was fantastic, she went above & beyond. I expected more from this Bosch 100 series since several friends recommended it, but like I said I'm sure I'll get use to it eventually. It's been 2 weeks now since I got it.

The good - installed easily, is quiet, cleans dishes well. The bad - operational manual is inadequate, dishes do not completely dry (there is no heating element, an unwelcome surprise), dishwashing cycles are very long, and dish racks are cramped and poorly designed.Would not purchase again.

Is the tab stainless steel?
Posée par: Miku
Miku, Thank you for your question and interest in Bosch 100 series dishwashers. The Ascenta and 100 series Bosch dishwashers have a tub with stainless steel sides, top, and door. The bottom is polypropylene ( plastic ). All parts are rust resistant and have lifetime warranty against rust through. If you want complete stainless steel tub, including the bottom, then choose from 300, 500, or 800 series largest capacity Bosch dishwashers.

Is there the option to mount the dishwasher to the sides of the cabinets vs into the granite?

Is there the option to mount the dishwasher to the sides of the cabinets vs into the granite?
Posée par: Smiley
There are two tabs at the top front that screw into the underside of the counter. If your granite is laid over a plywood base, you would screw into that. If you can't screw into the counter underside, Bosch sells inexpensive side mounting brackets, you can look them up on the Bosch site. Be sure to check for compatibility with this model number. Here is an example: https://www.bosch-home.com/us/shop-productlist/dishwashing/accessories/installation-and-built-in/mounting-sets/00619985#/Tabs=section-fitsappliance/

When the cycle is finished how come when you open the door the dishes does feel hot and are still wet

Posée par: Paula
The cooler surfaces of the stainless steel walls draw the vapors to the walls where they condense and drain down the walls and into the drain. If you open the dishwasher soon after the wash cycle completes, then a good amount of steam will be still present. To achieve better drying, I suggest either leaving the door open for about 5 to 10 minutes to allow the vapors to escape out of the washer or leave the door closed for another hour or 2 before opening the door.

I bought this for my grandmother. It is surprisingly hard to open the door, there seems to be no latch. Is this normal?

No latch, just pull? Don't want to break

Yes, this is how it works and it takes a good strong pull to open it. I find this to be the one downside of the dishwasher.
