Not many short boards and stain color is very consistent. Ordered 20% extra but will be returning 6 unopened boxes since very few boards were found to be not ideally usable . Not a single scratch during installation and furniture moving ,nor after two weeks so far of family and dog walking/ living normal life in the house. Floor feels really solid and Shine is beautiful ! Has a little more grain and texture than what was on our sample, and is also slightly darker than sample appeared ....but looks so good that those little differences don’t bother us at all now that the floor is in. Good value for the money ( did a ton of comparison shopping for months before choosing this ).

Rated 1 de 5 de par Hardwood and engineered stains drastically differ We happily installed the fall classic hardwood throughout most of our home and have been quite pleased. There were some boards w heavy character. The rustic nature hides some wear and tear. We have a family room built on a slab adjoining our kitchen. We purchased the engineered and hardwood close in time in the same color, fall classic. While some variation in stain and texture is expected from two different products, the stain is NOT at all alike. The engineered is way, way redder in tone, the finish is much shinier, and the grain less noticeable. The hardwood finish is more golden. They look like totally unrelated products. I would not recommend mixing the engineered and hardwood versions at all. They are in adjoining rooms and I regret the choice. They aren't a little off; they look like completely and totally different stains.

I ordered plenty and they ran about 2 boxes short of completing the job because of the culled boards. Unfortunately, they put them in the dumpster and it was hauled away before I knew they ran short.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Fall Classic Flooring Looks great installed! Love that it looks more like a 100 year old floor. Finish Not as high gloss as some flooring products which gives it a nice aged appearance.

Difference between Engineered Hardwood and Solid? Is there a difference in wear and installation?

Difference between Engineered Hardwood and Solid? Is there a difference in wear and installation?
Posée par: Sherri
Good morning, A solid hardwood board is milled from one piece of wood and is typically 3/4" thick (although some come in 5/16" thickness). These products can only be installed in on-grade or above-grade applications. Solid hardwood cannot be installed below ground level, such as a basement or walk-out basement. Solid hardwoods are less structurally stable than laminate or engineered hardwood, and they react strongly to moisture or high humidity. A major benefit of solid hardwood is they can typically be sanded or refinished more than one time. An engineered hardwood board is made up of layers (plies) of real wood that are adhered together to make the board more structurally stable than solid hardwood. Due to the thin top ply of engineered hardwood floors, only a very few of these products can be sanded or refinished up to one time. Please refer to the warranty for your floor to determine the feasibilty of being refinished. The benefit of engineered hardwood is that it can be installed on any grade level and typically has multiple choices for installing such as floating, gluing, or nailing/stapling down.

Does anyone have a idea what color stain this flooring is closest to?

Bruce American Vintage Fall Classic Oak - -
Posée par: MD
I apologize but unfortunately there is no specific stain color this is close to. A custom stain can be created to closely match this stain however. A paint specialist should be able to create a similar color for you. I hope this information helps.

Barely. Supposedly you can get one resurfacing with it but that would be only by someone with the right equipment and knowhow.

Can i install the 3/8 tongue and grove over an existing laminate floor? Floor is on second floor or house and is very level and dry

Posée par: JD
Hello JD, Thank you for contacting us with your question. I do apologize for the inconvenience; however, we do not recommend installing any type of flooring over an existing laminate floor. Laminate floors are not a stable enough product to install over. For your convenience, here is a link to the installation instructions for this floor. https://goo.gl/sGUwjQ I hope this information is helpful.
