Rated 5 de 5 de par It is fast and easy to install It comes in random links so you do in to lay out a few rows before you take off nailing or gluing it down. For the money that you save and time it takes to put in , I would say it is worth the money. It worked out fine for me , I nailed down 475 ft . It is not real hardwood so it does have a few down falls to it . 1 some of the joints are not as tight, but it’s not real hardwood so that is to be expected 2 could not find a trim that matched without it being the fake sticker looking stuff, but found Stan that was close enough and used raw oak and made it work going into the project knowing it isn’t real hardwood I think it turned out perfect. I would use this product again.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Extremely poor quality My contractor special ordered Bruce Hardwood for the floor it was laid and notice by the purchaser to have numerous flaws in the wood. The inspector from Home Depot inspected the wood laid and blamed the contractor for the work and flaws. They refuse to stand by the product. The contractor reordered and found the New Order had 30% damaged wood. Apparently this is typical and the manager recommended after the fact that you should order 30% more when ordering Bruce flooring as that company only inspects 80% of the flooring as it goes through the process. Does this apply to everything that Home Depot sells? I blame Home Depot for selling such poor quality materials and not backing up the purchasers whatsoever.

What is the recommended way of installing this product? Glue together and float the floor, or use fasteners instead? If fasteners should be used, should they be staples or cleats?

Posée par: Ramond

We were going to put down pergo flooring but it was determined we had a too high of moisture content in some areas so are now looking at the Engineered wood....we have done some real hardwood floors and never had any moisture concerns, how does the engineered compare. I dont want to order the flooring and end up having to send it all back...
Posée par: MJ
Hi MJ, Thank you for contacting us. We recommend that the moisture issue be taken care of prior to installing any flooring product. If excessive moisture is present or anticipated, we recommend using the Armstrong VapArrest S-135 or inexpensive sheet vinyl to reduce vapor intrusion. For your convenience, below is a hyperlink of the recommended installation instructions for the 3/8' engineered hardwood. We hope this information is helpful.
