Rated 5 de 5 de par Very easy to use I bought my smoker at Christmas, I use it all the time. I have smoked turkey, chicken, jerky, pork butt, ribs and brisket. However, my favorite is the beef brisket. The easy to use temperature probe is wonderful. Set the internal temperature and let it cook. The big chip bucket holds enough chips that I can cook for 10 to 12 hrs without refilling it. I put my big pieces of meat in the smoker before I go to bed and they are done in the morning early enough to wrap them in foil and let them rest for several hours before eating. This smoker was a great investment. There is only one thing I would change. I wish it was wider.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Easy to use, even if you are a novice Awesome product, I am not experienced in smoking or cooking but the Charbroil electric smoker walks you through the process and your food will come out better than you can buy it, anywhere! The app works great and with the meat probe you can know exactly how the meat is cooking all withou even opening the door! Additionally, clean up of the unit is a breeze. I would rate this product A++ and highly recommend. It will provide a constant and reliable temperature which is needed for smoking. I like it much better than a propane unit because you have to worry about the flame going out on windy days or the tank running out.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Char-Broil Digital Electric Smoker Love it! Set it. And forget it. Easy to use, far surpassed my expectations. Made the most amazing dry rub fall off the bones smoked ribs. Mixed Jack Daniels oak chips with Applewood chips and WOW!!!! Never ever will I eat ribs at a restaurant again... very easy set up and easy seasoning. Best bang for your buck. Definitely will recommend to anyone looking for a great smoker for the average guy that wants simplicity and a product that works!

Easy to program smoking time and temp or use the temp probe (included), to let you know when the internal meat temp has been reached.The unit seems to be very frugal on wood chips which are contained in an easy to access and empty removable box with lid. Same with the water pan, minus a lid, of course. There is an easily removable/cleanable drip surface and a grease tray to catch such. I will say the insulation of the cabinet is fairly efficient due to a very little rise on exterior temp during the smoking process. With much colder temps on the horizon, it will be a true test to smoke meats at say 32 f or below. No rain or snow of course!!

Rated 1 de 5 de par After 10 months started throwing breaker Purchased in Feb 2020 and used maybe a half dozen times for smoking. When it worked it produced good smoke and kept a fairly even temperature. Now its 10 months later and already an electrical issue causing the GFCI to trip immediately when it is plugged in. Smoker has been kept in my garage out of the elements and maintained properly. It has become apparent from other reviews that this is a common issue that has been happening for years. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this electric smoker and just stick with a charcoal type.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Biggest piece of junk I have owned it for 13 months. After 6 months breaker would pop constantly then try after try it would work. I tried on multiple breakers and without a extension cord. Same results. The heating element is a giant piece of junk. I just used it on the 4th of July this year and it worked great and as of today it is in the garbage. I will never buy a Charbroil again. I should of known better after owning one of their grills years back that only lasted years. You guys build absolute junk. I will never ever buy again.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Absolutely easy and fool proof I purchased a Char-broil electric digital smoker and I was NOT disappointed! As a “newbie “ at smoking I needed something I could learn with and this was the correct route to go. You cannot fail smoking a meat with this smoker! First meat was a whole chicken and used the meat probe. The chicken came out PERFECT! Oh and the flavor was the best! Wife wants ribs now and I can’t wait. Actually setting up a list of meats AND dishes that include mac-n-cheese, wings, ribs, vegetables, brisket, etc! Bonus note.... the recipes and tips on the Char-Broil site are awesome! Thank you for giving me the confidence that I can do smoking food as well as anyone! Patrick

Rated 3 de 5 de par Great when it works I got my smoker two years ago for Christmas. When it worked it was amazing and I know it was a good deal but now after less than two years of monthly use it no longer gets hot. after some research the heating element is more than likely what burned out and this is a common problem from what i was reading. The parts to fix it is not to bad but cost wise but when I took the back off I was lucky to see that the smoker did not cause a fire. the wires where Char'ed and not even connected to the element anymore. I will probably just buy a new smoker. Also It was always stored inside my garage so it was well taken care of.

Is there a cover made for this? I find I must store it outside and a weatherproof cover would be mandatory

How much will the basic electric smoker hold?? How many chickens, what size turkey, how many slabs ribs etc.???

I own this smoker, I do 6 slabs of ribs at a time. I cut them in half and use all four shelves. I have done four chickens with room for more, and 8 full pork loins. This is a great unit. Check my review posted on this site.

Should you soak the chips before smoking?

We consistently get 250'f air temp (measured with an accurate oven thermometer) with a control setting of 225'f, can the control be calibrated? We understand that there will be some fluctuation, but 25'f seems out of control.

How long can you leave chicken in smoker when it's done

If you are cooking with a timer the controller will automatically reduce the smoker to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. This will continue until it reaches the maximum 19 hour shut-off.

Is the unit resistant to the weather? Can I leave it on my patio?

when cooking 2 items (roasts/brisquit) say 6 lbs each... do you estimate time for a 6 lbs item or 12?? or somewhere in between

With this amount of food, and depending on the cook temperature, it should normally take about ten to fifteen minutes per pound to cook both. Referencing this example, it would be closer to six pounds. Make sure to utilize the meat probe for the best results.
