Rated 1 de 5 de par Bad product in every way (service has been good though) This garage door has been a huge hassle. Everything has went wrong. you can see paint drips everywhere on both doors from to much paint spray, the window trim ins't square, the grids were bent and don't hug the glass, we didn't get the right hardware and were missing half of the hardware to begin with. Have they gone out of there way to fix it? Yes. However, my time is valuable and these doors have delayed us and cost me hours of travel and time and hassle at the customer service desk. I would need to be given half my money back ($800) to feel adequately compensated. Very disappointed. This review is coming from a very reasonable person, see the pics. Unfortunately I can't return the doors because I need to finish this project so the tenant can move in. -Ryan CA

Rated 2 de 5 de par Quality concerns I have 5 wood colored Gallery garage doors total. Three on the house, and two on the detached garage. All were a new construction professional install, 12/2014. In the last 2.5 years, both the detached garage doors have been replaced two times because of delamination issues. Now on the third set and adfter a few months, no issues yet. I have been working through the professional installer so far, but it takes 2-3 months to receive the replacements. I do not know how long the replacements will last. We just hope the manufacturer's warranty starts over with every install and that Clopay doesn't discontinue the door color/style!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Clopay Garage Doors - Never Again Issue 1) Out of the 8 panels received for two garage doors, one was damaged and could not be used. We waited 4-6 weeks for the new panel which again arrived damaged as well. Ended up installing the damaged panel after swapping it with the top panel so it wouldn't interfere with other panels. Issue 2) Panels not trimmed accurately. I had to trim off insulation protruding from panel ends. Issue 3) Panel metal fronts and backs not accurately lined up resulting in parallelogram rather than rectangular top down alignment. Issue 4) Panel end caps (installer has to attach to panels) are predrilled, however, the predrilled holes did not line up so we had to widen or elongate many of the holes so we could utilize the threaded hole plates of the panels.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Best decision you could make! The house we bought had uninsulated plain white garage doors. As with a lot of houses, our garage is the prominent feature of the house front. We researched garage door companies and found Clopay to have a great reputation. We were able to find faux wood doors with windows that perfectly matched our new mahogany wood front door. We upgraded to the Intellicore insulation with Medallian hardware and now our garage is warm and quiet when in operation, all for a great price. These garage doors have completely changed the look of our house-- it is now beautiful and inviting!

Rated 5 de 5 de par We Love Our Clopay Garage Door The door has completely lived up to our expectations. We changed out our windowless insulated steel door with a Clopay windowed, super (R18) insulated, door. With the windows, our garage is much brighter inside now, especially on sunny winter days as our house face south. The sun coming through the windows in the winter helps warm the cars on cold sunny days. In our Minnesota winters the garage is staying 5 - 10 degrees warmer than with the old door. It stays around 40 degrees inside the garage when it's below zero outside--without a heater. Our garage is about 50% tuck under. If you keep your garage closed, like us, in the summer the super insulated door contains the heat of the cars and keeps the garage quite warm. We installed the door ourselves using the video provided, along with the instruction manual. We completed removal and installation in one day. The top windowed panel is very heavy so we needed the assistance of a young, strong, neighbor to help lift it into place. Other than that, my wife and I did the installation ourselves. We are very please with the door and it has really enhanced the appearance of our house.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Vast Improvement on Our Old Door [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this door to replace a garage door that was in place since the mid 80’s. We were replacing siding on the house and mentioned how the rooms above the garage would get cold. The siding installer mentioned the garage door as a possible culprit. We ended up purchasing the insulated gallery collection door and, so far, the rooms above the garage are not hot in the summer and haven’t been cold on the chilly fall nights. The door looks amazing from the outside. The upgraded hardware make for quiet and smooth opening and closing. Overall, I’m very pleased with my new garage door.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Stunning Difference! My wife and I could not be more impressed with our new garage doors. We replaced 29 year old compressed wooden doors and the difference is stunning! Not just in curb appeal, but in the difference in insulation of the garage. The 18.4 R Value has made a tremendous difference. By far the best upgrade investment we have made so far in our new home!!! Thoroughly impressed with our Clopay doors!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Classy Functional Garage Door We looked at a number of different door manufacturers and chose Clopay because of the value offered in superior styling options. We selected a Steel Gallery, 3-layer Intellicore insulation with an Arch grille window, lift handles, step plate and strap hinges. We knew this selection of door options would be a superior look to our old door, but we never imagined how much positive feedback we'd receive from our neighbors and friends. Our Clopay door has very noticeably improved the look of our home and it shields out the cold/heat and the traffic noise from the street.

are the windows single or double for the insulation purpuse?

single, door is insulated but windows are single pain, provide little insulation.

Are the holes for the handles pre-drilled? I don't want to use the handles except the one at the bottom.
