Rated 1 de 5 de par Rusty Door - Beware of Lifetime Warranty Do not buy these steel doors for Canadian conditions. The bottom of our door started to rust and Clopay/Home Depot would not replace or repair the bottom panel under their "Life Time Warranty". Warranty in this regard is misleading. Unless all melting snow and ice drains away from the door do not buy this door. The bottom rubber seal is held on by an aluminum plate that is screwed to bottom of steel door panel. The contact of the two different metals accelerates the oxidation process when they are in contact and results in the paint peeling back on both sides of the door. As you can see from the photo, it looks terrible (both sides) and we should have stayed with a wooden door.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Good Quality for the price point [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The factory finish of the door it good. I painted my door with and acrylic paint. Surface preparation is critical for proper adhesion. Follow the direction in the included manual and your results will be good. I am happy to state that the direction/manual are included and are well written. This is a big plus since many companies are skimping on the creation of direction and either going all pictorial or making you download and print them yourself. +1 for Clopay on the instructions. I Purchased the 6.5R with the steel interior skin. I consider this the best base door people should consider.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Customer Service is the best I have a 15 year old house and recently have had problems with the front plastic window grilles breaking, snapping. The door itself has never been a problem and held up quite well. I emailed customer service the serial # on the gargage door and unfortunately they stated this particular model was discontinued. However they had some of the old stock remaining and sent me four grilles (2 right side and 2 left side) free of charge. They arrived within days and fit perfectly. Not often do you come across someone that goes the extra mile but this is exactly what happened with the representative at Clopay. I will definitely consider Clopay for all my future garage doors and entry door needs.

Rated 5 de 5 de par 100 times better then old doors [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My house had 1970s doors that where rotting and looked like junk. Due to covid19, I have been off work and had some time finally to get some home DIY projects done and this was on the top of the list. The doors were easy to self install, if your a do it yourself person.. you will have no problems with these. I did 2 7x8 doors by myself, removed the old heavy-rot and replaced them in one day. Also added weather seals to top and sides for a better seal and painted.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Love the door Great quality door however i wish Clopay would enclose the rear track hanger kit with their doors. We live 2+hrs away from Home Depot and did not purchase the rear hanger kit at the time we bought the door so 10 hrs worth of driving to complete this project. Buy the door but don't forget the rear hanger kit!

Rated 3 de 5 de par Door damaged The door has very nice curb appeal. I waited 6 months for door delivery, and one panel was shipped damaged. The installer has submitted a report with picture of damage. The door opens and closes with ease, I purchased the upgrade bearings and hardware. I have the exterior lock which is centred on the door. You have to lift the door by the lock, which in time i can see damaging and weakening the thin skin of the door facing. I wish there was a handle at the bottom of the door to use when lifting the door. Would i recommend this door? Well it was well priced, and seems of good construction.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Classic Collection insulated steel door (R-6.5) I bought a new Clopey Classic Collection insulated steel door (R-Value 6.5) (16x7) # 2053. I have a detached garage, so the r-value is not critical for me. The door itself looks solid. However, there is only one horizontal strut (at the top). This is standard on Clopey Classic Collection insulated steel doors for size at 1-3/8" thick and 16 feet wide. I'd rather have one or two additional struts. However, due to the fact that this door is steel (27g), I do not see any deflections. Also ordered a Medallion upgrade . The door is still new and I cannot say more about what will happen in a few years. We'll see.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Completely disappointed. Not only did I have to wait forever for the garage door panels .... but when they finally showed up I was nothing but disappointed with the product. They do not look anywhere near the quality that Clopay advertises. The "double pane insulated windows" are cheap, flimsy and single pane. The panel, trim ring, and window insert are all different shades of brown and do not match one another as shown in the pictures. On top of the matter, the windows are cheap, thin plastic and look hideous. Clopay advertises a picture showing a garage door with quality, nice looking window inserts (not plastic junk), matching colours and they claim to be well-insulated double panels. Not impressed with the product one bit.

Shawn, this door will come with all necessary hardware to complete your installation. You will need to purchase vinyl stop molding to go around the door and possibly rear track hanger kit if you are replacing your hanger that attaches the horizontal track.
