Impressions have a trim piece that does give a nice finish. And the panels seem a bit thicker than the Select. Much less expensive than custom closet companies. Configured two to make a nice 2 tower, 3 double hang wall. Hoping the seemingly tiny screws to attach rods to towers will be enough strength to hold loaded rods. Easy to follow instructions. You will need a drill, power screw driver and a level to attach rods to the walls and to secure towers to the wall. I also ordered the shelves separately as it was cheaper than the set.

We were excited to be able to add drawers and overhead shelving separately, allowing the right amount and type of storage we needed. When we got the kit home and started to assemble, we found that the drawers that were supposed to be compatible with the kit did not fit in the tower unit correctly. There was 1/2 inch gap between the drawer front and the side walls of the tower unit. Also, there were two support pieces missing for the clothes bars. We're very disappointed in this product. We understand the need for space for the drawer slides, but the drawer fronts should have been made wider to accommodate for the gap that shows once the drawer is in place.

White Fixed Mount Top Shelf Kit and ClosetMaid Impressions 13.23 in. D x 8.7 in. H x 13.39 in. W White Narrow Wood Drawer Kit and let me say I am extremely pleased and so is my wife I built it for. Let me start by saying, anyone who is hesitant or worried the product will come damage, don't even worry! This product came better packaged than any product I have ever bought, box inside box with padding and I am an avid online shopper. There is virtually no way this product could be damaged short of falling off a skyscraper. The quality is great, for the price, and I think the white looks very elegant. I did cut the shelves to fit my needs, using a circular saw and fine tooth blade, I was able to cut without any chipping of the board. I also cut 2 of the metal rods with a hacksaw to fit my needs and they work great. I bought LED lights and wired it for back lighting and it looks very professional, in fact many of my wife's friends that she shows the closet to, say I am in the wrong line of business. The closet is on a motion sensor light switch so the second I walk into the closet all lights come on and shut off a couple minutes after I walk out. But really it wasn't that hard and the quality is superb. The drawer's slide in and out so smoothly and the shelves are so solid, it makes a mundane choir like putting away clothes actually enjoyable. All I can say is great buy and I will post a video and pics on youtube under the username Keeta777 shortly, so if anyone has questions or curious to see more pics they are able. Way to go Home Depot for offering a great product at a great price, with SUPERIOR packaging!

I purchased this product but I did not want to use all three rods in order to create more room in my small closet. I only used two of the rods. It worked fine. I used a level and a square to be sure my angles were right. It takes some work but the overall product is most satisfactory. I recommend taking at least two measurements of everything and be sure to have a level so that the shelves and the rods are correct in height. I would recommend a cordless drill, as well, as there is quite of bit of drilling to be done in the walls. I plan to purchase more of these kits. Overall, a worthwhile investment for my bedroom.

I purchased the dark wood version of this system for my walk in closet and was very pleased. I almost returned this white version but it was too much hassle. There were cracks in the laminate on two pieces and some of the edges were damaged. It was only for a coat closet and I wanted to get in installed so I shut up and put up. This would have been a one star and would not recommend if it wasn't for my experience with the dark wood version which is a 4 or 5 star. Don't buy the white but do buy the dark. Not sure why the white is such poor quality.

Rated 5 de 5 de par great! used as a starter piece This was the center of the closet project. Making drawers is hard, shelves are easy. We added some Melamine boards to make a surround and it worked great. Added a few drops of wood glue to the drawers for durability. Impressed with the overall quality. A power tool screwgun or drill accelerates time to completion. A few metal L Brackets and 1/2” wood screws secures it to the floor/wall better than tr plastic clips. I used the upper half in a different part of the closet, then added a melamine board as the countertop

It is not at all what is represented on the packaging. The biggest problem is that you're told it fits a closet from 4 feet to 9 feet. Mine is 65 inches. Should be no problem, right? You need a closet at least 71 inches wide. I was assuming that Closetmaid could measure--wrong. The shelves are 17 inches and the rods are 27 inches. This totals to 71 inches, not counting hardware. after installing the shelves and notching the baseboards, the rods didn't fit. Big update, Closetmaid!! 27+27+17 is more than 48. I have spent an entire day to destroy my closet. I now have to dismantle the entire thing, pack it up and hire someone to put in new baseboards, just to start all over again. Closet maid STINKS!

I love this closet kit, not only because it's easy to install, but because it makes my closet look bigger. It maximizes the space tremendously. I bought two kits because I wanted to add storage on the very top for my linen as well. Even though the middle shelf is narrow, it's perfect for the purpose that I needed it. These shelves are great for towels, pants, jewellery boxes, shoes, etc.

I CUT A NOTCH SECTION FROM THE BASEBOARD. THIS ENABLED ME TO INSTALL THE PRODUCT TIGHT AGAINST THE WALL. IT WORKED ABSOLUTELY GREAT AND THIS PRODUCT HAS MY HIGHEST OF RECOMMENDATIONS.

Are the supplied wall anchors strong enough? I am guessing it would be best to have the hanging rails secured into a stud if possible. If not would an E-Z Ancor 75lb drywall anchor be stronger than what is supplied?

How do I make the rods stable when they are fully expanded?

When I expand the rods to 48 inches, They seem very flimsy and they aren’t straight. How do I strengthen them?

The rods are not made to extend to their full length as they derive some of their stiffness where they overlap. My closet is about 80" wide. The shelf unit is centered in the closet. My rods are both only about 29" wide. The farther you extend the rods the weaker they will be. If your rods are 48" wide you have only 4" of overlap. You should use different rods. Maybe some 1' diameter steel pipe with different hangers.

When you install the hanging rod it will be 12" from the closet wall and 2.5" from the outer face of the tower. When you hang your clothes on the rod half of the garment will project beyond the rod and the front face of the tower so you must have enough room to close the closet door and not crunch the hanging clothes. I think the 24" is an arbitrary number to allow for that but it can't be much less than 24".

Can I separate the tower?

In the photo it looks like there is a seam halfway down the tower. I need the bottom half to go in one area & will just use the other half somewhere else. When you assemble it, are the sides one long piece, or could I make it into two smaller towers?
