This is by far more superior to other silicone filler products. It does a nice job of filling cracks in asphalt driveways.

I have a lot of cracks (1/4" wide, by 1/4" deep by 10 feet or more), criss-crossing in my driveway. I hadn't used the typical driveway sealer for 5 or more years, and the cracks that I had previously filled with that pourable latex stuff had all come out of the previous cracks and my driveway looked like it would start falling apart if I didn't do something substantial. I tried this product. Hugely time consuming since you have to fiddle with a propane torch. Hint: get that torch that can be used upside down. And best to do this when it's not 30 degrees out, as I had a lot of condensation on outside of propane tank last Fall and the flame kept going out. This summer, when I was doing my mother's driveway, I didn't have problem with condensation and the flame going out. Anyways, in my driveway, 9 months later, the cracks I did still look like I just did them yesterday. The interesting thing about this product, is that if in the future, the product starts to separate from the walls of the crack, I envision reheating the crack with the torch to "re-apply" the product. I won't have to buy additional product. I think this could be the real answer to fixing cracks for a long time rather than that pourable latex stuff. I feel like my driveway is one solid unit, rather than what it looked like when I started. I also don't have dozens of ant hills all over my driveway as the ants have been blocked by my sealing the cracks. Regular sealer would do that as well, but the few ant hills that I had this year, showed me where I need to tidy up some cracks. I won't know for 2 or more years on how fantastic this product can sustain the New England weather, but so far, this product is worth the money. I also have put the idea of getting my driveway repaved away for the time being. Oh, and I found the 1/2" rope was better to work with than the 1/4" rope. I felt the 1/2" rope was faster to melt as there was more surface area to accept the propane flame, and was stiffer to fiddle with the melted tar/latex sealer puddle that develops depending how long you are pointing the torch upside down onto the crack and rope. I also don't put the rope into the crack like the directions say. I sort of hold the rope parallel to the crack, but hovering above the crack and melt the rope into the crack. But the crack is also being heated and softened cause the torch is upside down and going around the rope as well. You'll get the idea after an hour or so lying on the ground doing this.
