Rated 5 de 5 de par This stuff is phenomenal Need 2 ppl and plenty of 5 gallon buckets. One person mix while the other pours the mixed product. I poured 6 bags so i had 6 buckets. Pre opened all bags and pre filled buckets with 6 quarts which is 1 and a half gallons of water. I poured the entire bag into the bucket of water and mixed with drill and mixing paddle. Eaaaasy. Putting 6 quarts of water instead of the recommended 5.25-5.75 helped the product not set up as fast. I mean the stuff sets up fast dont get me wrong, but don't panic you'll have plenty of time work with it. Don't let some of these reviews scare you. Just do it, the stuff basically does all the work for you.

Rated 5 de 5 de par This makes all the bad stuff disappear. Makes floors "DEAD LEVEL" and ready for tile or stone. This product used over a sound (*but uneven ) base, cannot `be beat. I have used it over concrete for leveling purposes, uneven, chipped Plywood, And to encapsulate electric resistance heat. I recommend using a large garbage can to mix (outdoors) and pour it. and don't mix more that you can carry inside. Invite a friend over to help mix and carry. One bag mixed with water can be quite heavy. When doing multiple pours I like to mix or blend the two pours together and trowel flat. Always use reinforcement wire over plywood for the strongest base for your new floor.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Awesome product A contractor friend recommended this product to us. We used the LevelQuik primer and then the self-leveling underlayment in a small laundry room in our basement. The cement floor height varied by over one inch from one side to the other. We achieved a very level surface. We did not mix the entire bag at once...instead broke it into several smaller batches. This made the mixing much easier for two women who spend most of their days working in front of a computer. This product worked much better than a different brand that called itself "self-leveling" but would not level no matter how much water we used. I highly recommend the LevelQuik RS product.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Needs more water that the recommended I poured this on new concrete cured for 10 days and I also applied the primer. I followed instructions but this bags need about six quarts of water instead of the 5.25 to 5.75 recommended. It will work but will not find its own level easily. I mixed two buckets at once and poured them at the same time. One was with the recommended water amount and didn't give me a perfectly flat level surface. The other had more water and worked perfect. I am going to install ceramic floor tile on top of it and despite the wavy appearance, I have a level surface anyway. The Thinset will help.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Stuff If you know or learn how to use this product you will have the best results ever. Read the instructions, watch a video or two on YouTube, use a powerful drill with a good mixing attachment, add the dry product to the water 1/4 at a time, mix throughly, move quickly, pour a little into the corners first, back your way out of the area. If you require more than 2 batches you should have a helper, have a measured pre-filled bucket for each batch to save time (you can re-use the same mixing bucket), so you only have to clean one or two at most. You must caulk or fill any hole no how small or the cement will drain out. This product dries fast so keep moving.

Product works if you have Wright tools and experience working with it you need a minimum of two people the problem is it will always raise your high points by a eighth of an inch or more so you need to spread it very thinly on your high spots and fill your low spots it's not a fix-all most of the time creating more problems than it's worth .The biggest problem is that it is a rapid setting formula unless you have experience it sets up within 15 to 20 minutes which doesn't give you much time mix multiple bags and to work with it resulting in a worst floor than what you probably started with not recommended for the DIY or homeowner

Rated 4 de 5 de par Mix well and follow the directions Most of my issues with product were not the product's fault. First the good: It does self level quickly to within about 1/16" without help. The bad: It requires proper mixing which is difficult with one person. The product has to be added slowly to the water and mixed with each addition. My highly reviewed mixing paddle broke into three pieces immediately on the first bucket. Hand mixing is not an option because of the speed that it sets up. My first batch ended up lumpy as a result of attempt to hand mix. As others have said, make sure you area is well sealed as even a crack of 1/16" will leak. I had one tiny leaker from a screw hole. Overall, good product, hard to execute solo without a good mixer.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Easier than I thought with a great smooth finish Debated about lifting some existing tiles and leveling the floor in a basement bathroom. Almost seemed like too much trouble. Couldn't have been further from the truth. Tiles came up easily and this Levelquick was easy to mix with cordless drill (needed both batteries) and the mixing bit the associate from HD gave me. Added the mix slowly to the water (three heaped garden trowel fulls at a time) , mixed well, and went on the floor smooth. Used a hand hand grouting tool to spread it out a bit, but didn't have to do much. Re-tiling should now be much easier. Very happy.

Is this Leveler also a water barrier? in other words can I install Durarock in a stand up shower, then (not removing shower floor tiles, tiling over) then pour this product in the crevices and over the existing shower floor tiles to seal it up water tight?
Posée par: Roz
This product is not a water barrier. Your best bet for that is to use one of the many waterproofing membranes on the market. Secondly, you don't want to have a flat shower floor. There should be a slight slope to the shower drain from every direction to avoid having any standing water in your shower.

We enclosed a breeze way and the floor is about 2 inches lower than the rest of the house. Would this product work to actually raise the floor?
Posée par: Karen
not sure, but why couldn't you use two or three coats of thinner thickness to make the 2 inches?

Can I apply on wood and tile after that

Posée par: joe
Yes, you can but if your floor is older and has any damage, such as sagging creaking/movement, you may have to address that issue first to ensure the integrity of the floor so the self leveling cement doesn’t crack. As long as you have a solid wood surface it works fine. I would also recommend patching any cracks or holes beforehand. Make sure the floor is clean. I also applied waterproofing primer to the floor and let it dry completely before I poured the LevelQuik. Also, it’s a good idea to apply a product such as Redgard to prime your underlayment before you tile over it.

When used on concrete slab above ground (no basement), does it dry solid? Mine scrapes right up if you move something over it. Also, can you apply glue over it for a glue-down installation of engineered hardwood clicklock flooring?
Posée par: Annie
Did you use a primer first? This is to be used as an underlayment and is not a "wear" surface - It should be covered. https://www.custombuildingproducts.com/products/surface-preparation/self-leveling-underlayments/levelquik/levelquik-rs.aspx

Can LevelQuick be applied over a painted concrete floor?

Can LevelQuick be applied over a painted concrete floor?
Posée par: Joe
The level quik can be applied over anything, the question is how long before it breaks up? The material must solidly bond to the concrete or surface already in place. Paint leaves a thin barrier between the two surfaces so in essence your asking will the quik-crete form a lasting bond to paint. At the very least I would strip the paint and then use bonding compound liberally.

does this fill in cracks? what is the finish like-- smooth or rough?

i have a large room that was inproperly laid with concrete that has several deep cracks. the floor slopes so I was thinking of using a self leveling product and thought maybe 2 birds one stone if it will fill my cracks as well! looking to stain afterward
Posée par: nurseahoy
This material, when properly mixed and prepared, has the consistency of a milkshake, so it flows fairly readily to level floors, and in the process, should readily fill cracks of a reasonable size. It is important to barricade off the areas where you may not want this to flow, as it will flow out until it is level. You will be able to do multiple pours, if the single pour is not sufficient. I cannot comment on the ability of this material to take a stain. You may need to consult the manufacturer for that. Because of the consistency of the material when you pour it and the 'self-leveling' properties, the finish is extremely smooth when it cures. Hope this helps you out.
