Rated 1 de 5 de par So disappointed - color totally not as displayed on package! So disappointed. Bought the Delorean Grey in Sanded for the floors and non-sanded for the walls. When I walked down after the contractor was done, the walls are a light grey (basically more an antique white) and the walls are a totally different color - the darker grey. So looking forward to my new bathroom and now totally disappointed. I took a handful of each grout from the package and the color difference of the dry product was so different. Wish I had of done this before it was installed. Now I'm wondering about painting the grout or chipping it out and replacing :(

The color came out just as expected. By "we" I mean, we hired a professional to do the tile and grouting. I've seen a few reviews saying the dried color wasn't what was on the bag or the color chart, sometimes even coming out white. I disagree, ours came out exactly as expected. After reading those aforementioned reviews, I asked our contractor about the color and mentioned my concerns over the dried color being "too light"..His reply was, and I quote, "those people didn't mix it right or just didn't know what they were doing, trust me, it will be the grey you are hoping for" ... Low and behold, it came out perfect. It contrasts perfectly with the white tile, just like we wanted. My advice would be, don't cheap out and take it on yourself if you aren't absolutely sure of what you're doing, hire a pro that does it for a living, I'm sure glad we did !

Rated 1 de 5 de par Horrible grout. Don't use. Used on basket weave marble tile. A few tiles needed to be replaced and the regrouted areas are much darker than the originally grouted areas. Contractors are trying to find a grout paint that will match the original grout in order to fix the darker areas. I'm skeptical that it will work. It looks like I installed the tiles myself instead of having it professionally installed. It will set us back a week if the entire floor needs to be replaced, and I'm not sure that our contractors are willing to do that (which is a problem with our contractors, I realize). Don't use this grout, it screwed up an entire, expensive, project.

I covered my whole basement (1000 sq ft) with beautiful Italian grey porcelain tile and applied grout with Delorean Gray color. I am very unhappy about the consistency of the grout. As you can see in the attached photos, the color can be randomly gray or almost black in one tile! Since a lot of them are in the same tile or nearby tiles, I do not think it is because of the timing. Since most of the grout turned out to be light grey, can someone tell me how I can turn the black back to light grey. I am really SAD to see how it turned out. I just want one grout color throughout my floor :-( Is that a simple request??

Rated 4 de 5 de par Decent Grout, Beautiful Color (Delorean Gray) I used the Delorean Gray with the MS Metro Gris 12x24 tile and it looks amazing together. I have some lines that don't look perfect but it is what it is. Easy on the water! I ended up needing the whole box despite the chart on the back, which by the way, does not give a reference for 12x24 tiles. As such, I recommend using the 12x12 reference and then you'll have a little extra. Consistency I was told to mix to and use was peanut butter but I would say medium/thick cake batter. If you do go peanut butter, make sure it's the creamy and not the crunchy!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Not even close to the right color We just a tile floor put in our kitchen by a contractor who did a great job. We asked for delorian gray grout. He purchased Custom poly blend plus grout and silicone grout to seal along the sliding glass door. As you can see from the attached photo, the grout color came out nearly white, which we absolutely hated. We had to spend an extra $500 for another contractor to come in and apply colorant. How does this happen? What kind of quality control allows a company to sell two products with same color, and one is completely off. Horrible experience! Be warned and be careful!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Cracking grout joints Bought an installed the CPBG16525 DeLorean Gray grout in my bathroom on April 14 2022. It's now July 2023 and it's been bothering me for a few weeks now but finally got mad enough to write a review. The colour is fine, and application is easy but that does not make this product any good. There is cracking on almost every single grout line in my bathroom now. Read the bag, followed the steps and none of that matters. I'm sure the manufacturer will find something somewhere along the way to void the warranty so there's no sense in even fighting it. Hopefully this helps someone to not make the same mistake I did in purchasing this product

Rated 1 de 5 de par Delorean Gray is not the same color!!!! Beware, my fiance and i tiled our entire main living area, kitchen, dining, spare bathroom, and laundry room with the expectation that we were recieving Delorean Gray. That was not the case. Its a light gray almost white. Its staining and is not what we thought we had purchased compared to the sample that Home Depot has. Its been over a year and we have so many regrets with this color, it stains easily and because of the contractor Home Depot subbed the work to, we have multiple areas where the installation of the grout is wrong. Its unbelievable. Dont use this color and beware of Home Depot services as they sub to anybody that seemingly has a contractors license

When I search for a sanded grout to use with 1/16” lines this polyblend 1/8” to 1/2” comes up.

Will this work on 1/16” Lines the application is floor tile that has a wood look and want minimal lines.
Posée par: Robert
Non-sanded grout is suggested for grout lines narrower than 1/8”. Polyblend makes a non-sanded grout that is also available in delorean gray.

how many square feet does twenty five pound bag of grout cover?

Posée par: kat
To answer this I'd need to know how wide and deep your grout lines are and how large are your tiles. I believe the general rule of thumb is one 25-lb sack of grout for a whole bathroom. I used half a 25-pound bag to grout tiles around my bath tub clear to the ceiling, plus a 6 ft by 7 foot floor (with 13" x 13" tiles on the floor, plus a tiled area behind the toilet, plus tile baseboards.

I had a similar problem on a much smaller scale, with the thin grout lines in a large format tile shower. I used the Poly Blend Grout Renew colorant and sealer. I found it in the exact shade I needed. It essentially was like a solid color stain. Did an excellent job of providing consistent coloration. I put it on with a small artist brush, let it dry for a brief period, then wiped it off with a clean rag. Came off of smooth tile without a problem. A quick look on-line showed they sell it in Delorean Gray. Maybe this would work for you to touch up the dark areas.

I want to MINIMIZE the spaces between the tiles. Is it OK to install these tiles with almost NO space between the tiles?

Posée par: MaryMel
If you are using sanded grout (which is more durable and less prone to cracking than unsanded grout), you will need at least 1/8 of an inch of spacing between tiles. You can go with 1/16-inch grout lines if you use unsanded grout.

Why is my grout color so uneven? Some areas are lighter, some are darker. This is the second time this has happened to me using Polyblend. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong - has anyone had this problem?
Posée par: rhl02a
In the direction on mixing you will find that you mix it all to avoid color difference. I don't . We pour it all into a dry bucket and pour into another dry bucket over and over till we feel its mixed well and then made small batches. Now if you let it sit for long, repeat the color can separate .

Polyblend Ratio Water:Powder

I need to mix small portions of grout. What is the ratio of water to mix (i.e., 3 parts water to 1 part mix, etc.)? Thanks!
Posée par: Aseret
This grout is mixed at an approximate 3 parts powder to 1 part water mixing ratio.
