Rated 5 de 5 de par Features that make it A good product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is a heavy belt or holster clip for ease of freeing your hands when setting up the job. This keeps the tool near you and not sitting on or in the way. There is an extra tip/material guard attached right to the tool. I found the oil free operation a great asset for keeping the wood surfaces clean. I have had oil spray interfere with the staining and finishing of past projects. The dual safety trigger at first I thought it would be a problem but it feels natural and was a non issue to get used to. Overall I really like the weight and quality feel of the tool in my hand

Rated 5 de 5 de par 23 Ga Pin Nailer...Perfect I bought this about 8 months ago, and have had time to use this tool. First, the size, balance, and ease of operation are excellent. It is extremely easy to load and unload the pin nails. Adjusting the depth with the knob on the front IS A MUST, and it has this. I have read a lot of reviews that complained about the setting of the pins, and I have not encountered any of those problems. There is minimal marring on the wood surface when setting them. I have noticed some marks around the nail on white pine, but have not had visible marks on any hardwoods. GET IT if you need this type of nailer!!

I had to buy a new nailer to shoot 1 3/4-2 inch pins through bamboo quarter round. Not real happy with nailer. It literally jams after every 3rd or 4th nail on a good run. Having a hard time getting pins to recess. I have adjusted depth to the deepest setting. Also using recommended bostich nails at max pressure (100psi). I honestly had better performance with the husky. Went with Dewalt because of name. Sadly disappointed with the nailer.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great nailer for natural finishes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great nailer for natural or stained wood projects. It has an easy adjust depth setting as well as an easy release for jams, that I have not had to use yet after 600+ nails. It uses 5/8 to 2 inch pin nails, I was able to get it to shoot 1/2 inch nails with no issues but I don’t recommend doing it often. The 23G nails do minimal damage to the wood so minimal filler if any will be needed. There are no nail heads so keep in mind your application, you may need to angle your nails more often. The one thing that was a little off putting to me was the trigger safety, I’m more accustomed to the bump safety. This is a solid nailer and highly recommend this to anyone doing natural wood finishes.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Excellent nailer value when using a $25 coupon. This 23 gauge pin nailer works great right out of the box. My imported pancake compressor is set to 90 PSI I tested it using the 1" included pins using scrap lumber. Plywood, 2x4 thickness and a scrap of really hard (unknown wood). So far its performance is great. The nailer did not jam once during use. Attention. The photos take with my cellphone are magnified 1X and 3X zoom. The 7 year warranty is excellent. My opinion. I personally would prefer an all metal nose cover design if possible to access the depth adjustment dial and potential jams. Part # 8 nose cover is plastic. Part # 11 pinch lever is metal.

Rated 3 de 5 de par a few weeks in and im not impressed This nail gun is more expensive than the other options available. I chose it because my 18g Dewalt is the best 18g nailer I’ve ever owned. At first it jammed a lot (I install cabinets for a living) but it was t frequent enough to make me return it. Yesterday the nail port wouldnt slide open no matter how much i tried. I ended up hanging it up and will return it today for a new one. If she does me well i will update this review

As I was reminded in the store there are less expensive pin nailers out there and this is a relative newcomer to the pack. I chose this because of the tool-less design to clear a jam. Pin nailers are notorious for jams and the cheaper the brand the more the jams. I was doing a big project and we chose to use a pin nailer to fix thin wood planks to the wall. The pins are nearly invisible and you really have to look for them. I used over 600 pins on this project and did not have a single jam. The dual trigger is there for safety but be careful because you can still shoot a pin at yourself or the floor if you're not paying attention as I did three times. Oops. One nice feature is that it will stop when the pins get down to the last dozen pins. Why? If you go past that point that's when the cheaper pin nailers jam. This is a brilliant feature. The business end has a clip you can pop up to clear a jam but like I said, that never happened to me. This gun also requires no oil which was a huge plus as the wood I was installing would have been ruined with an oil stain. The gun feels good and well-balanced in the hand and is about the size of an 18 gauge brad nailer. It's also very quiet, barely making a sound. With a lot of home renovations ahead of me I am very glad I spent more $ and got myself the perfect tool for the job. This definitely exceeded my expectations and I'm still shocked it never jammed. I've included a couple pictures so you can see just how small the holes are. When you're close you can see them but take a couple steps back and they're gone. On this project I was using 1.25" pins. Dewalt says this can shoot up to 2" pins. I was shooting through pine into sheetrock. Never had an issue.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great light weight pinner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The features I especially liked about this pinner was its light weight, adjustable depth setting and low nail lockout. The oil free feature will help prevent stains on my projects. I was able to sink 2”pins into solid birch with this pinner. I liked the belt hook. It also worked great putting in small molding. I feel it’s a bargain at $150. Other pinners without these features go for over $200. I would highly recommend this for any woodworker or carpenter.

It works well with 70 PSI for the 1 inch and I usually run about 90 PSI when using the 2 inch pins. This unit works very well with the small pancake air compressors for more portability.

Dumb question but will 1/2 nails by some chance work with this pin nailer?

Posée par: prod
It will handle nails from 5/8” to 2””. It will not hold a 1/2” nail.

does it have dry fire lockout?
Posée par: burnum
It will not fire when there are no remaining pins in the magazine. This is a very nice tool, I really like mine. A word of caution based on personal experience. Always keep in mind where that pin may go if it shoots through your piece or may deflect at a strange angle especially if joining composite trim pieces. 23 Ga pin is great for creating a barely noticeable fastening and it only leaves a tiny blood spot if it goes thru a finger (based on experience).

Will this nailer take slight head 23 gauge pins?
Posée par: Coyote
It uses headless pin nails. Most pin nails are marked with an arrow or something similar so they are not inserted upside down.
