Rated 5 de 5 de par Great table saw [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was quite skeptical how a battery powered table saw would perform on my job site, but I must say I was surprised. The battery lasted for the cuts I need to make. I don't think this saw would be a good option if you expect to make cuts constantly all day long. I'm making on average 25 cuts a day and it fits my needs. I would have liked to have seen this saw have the option for both corded and battery power. I also would have preferred that two batteries be included for the price point. Overall I would recommend the saw, just make sure you understand how it will perform relative to your needs.

I have had two dewalt table saws in 16 years. I think that is a good thing. I used them almost everyday. I decided to try this one out to see if I would like it at all. I had many doubts. The first time i started it up I ran the battery dry to see how long it lasted. Wasn't even fully charged and last for some time. It sounds strong, it last long, and it cuts well. I doubt i will be returning this one. Light weight and easy to us. Lets see how long this one will last. I just bought the chop saw. Story to be continued.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Battery totally doesn't last. The saw part of this seems fine. The power is fine. The battery just doesn't last. I was shocked when the saw suddenly just stopped.. I checked the battery power and it was down below 50%. I have to assume the saw stopped automatically because of this. I was ripping a 6ft long board into slim strips. 3/4 inch pine. Shocking. To make this saw work for me, I'm going to have to go and buy at least two more batteries. Swap them out as they go dead, then when I'm done, later, re-charge them all. Only get this saw if you -really- need the portability. Otherwise, not worth it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Quality table saw [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very impressed with the quality of this battery operated saw .. but was surprised to see it wasn't a plug in charger as well knowing dewalt is good at pulling all the stops .. the run time is very good .. and all the accessories store on the saw its self so there are no way they can be lost (which is a big deal) it would be nice in the future model to maybe have a option to have it also double as a snap on router table seeing as it would second very nice as a router table :) thanks for your inavation and hard work dewalt .. five stars hands down !!! And I'm not one to give five stars often !

Accurate cuts, substantial power and sturdy, quality built. I mostly use table saws for custom trim work, fillers on cabinet installs ect. A lot of jobs I work have limited power supplies so having a battery powered table saw is awesome. The supplied 6 amp hour battery will last for your typical needs in a day but if you are using it to cut framing lumber you should purchase a couple spare batteries. Because of the 5800 rpm speed it runs I am able to cut finished fillers for cabinets without any chipping with the stock blade the saw comes with. After having this saw a couple weeks I sold my corded Dewalt table saw I had and still used. I bought that one in 1999...!!! It was still a great saw but this 60 volt Max saw is my new accurate cutting champ.

Rated 3 de 5 de par should have been made 120v like miter box is! I love the saw for small jobs but i think they can do much better. I really hope they have plans to build a table saw that runs off the same design as the 120v miter box. I believe they could make a 10-12' table saw that is dual 60vbattery or with 120v wall adapter. I absolutely love the flex volt line but with the tools i see coming out I've been expecting a large hybrid table saw for awhile.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Not enough power or runtime I bought this saw almost a year ago and regret it. I thought it had the option of being corded or cordless like the mitre saw, but this saw is ONLY powered by the 60v Flex Volt battery. I wish they had a power adapter so I could truly be flexible either way. As such, I am often finding the battery does not hold enough power to consistently rip material. It's fine for a few cuts here and there, but if you are trying to use it all day, forget it - go buy the corded version so you aren't wasting time and material.

I had been looking at the various brands and models of portable table saws for about a year. Honestly, this saw has the best of all the worlds; cordless capability with the quality of Dewalt. The miter gauge is kind of cheesy, but other than that, this saw awesome. I mounted this to the Dewalt portable rolling stand too. The combination works great! If you're shopping for a small, portable table saw, forget the 15A corded ones. Spend the few extra dollars and buy this one. You won't regret it.

Can you get a corded option

I see that the miter saws have an optional corded option. Will there be a model of table saw that has this ability?
Posée par: Apridmor
Not yet but rumor is they are going to release one.

Can you use the 120 volt adapter with this saw

Posée par: SNR
No, you cannot use the 120V adapter, since that requires the tool to have two battery ports, but the table saw only has one.

I would like to know if the Diablo blade, 8 1/4", with a kerf of 0.094, will work on this table saw, without any problems or adjustments. The Dewalt blade that comes with this table saw has a kerf of 0.071. I know the difference is minute and it should be OK but I am not taking anything for granted when it comes to a spinning blade... My other question is can I use a 7 /14" blade on this? The 7 1/4" 40-60 tooth blades make very nice and smooth cuts and are a lot cheaper to replace than the 8 1/4" blades, regardless of manufacturer. BTW, this is an EXCELLENT portable table saw. I am very happy with it! Thanks in advance...
Posée par: Petros
I chatted on the Dewalt website with a representative and he told me that the DW7644 Dewalt 8 1/2 in can be used with this table saw. It's still suspicious to me since there are differences in blade and kerf sizes, so I'm still skeptical about getting this table saw if I can get blades that do the job with quality without risking my safety. I plan to work with laminate flooring and wanted the table saw since it's more versatile than the miter saw.

Can this be stored sideways? I am planning on buying the DWE74911 stand and leave it attached with the stand if it is ok.
Posée par: Archie
I’m not sure what you’re asking. If you mean Can I turn it sideways to put it away, fine. If you mean Can I turn it sideways on its stand, I’m not sure why you’d need to.
