Rated 5 de 5 de par worksite radio I've had my radio about three weeks now and love it. I knew it didn't charge batteries but I wanted it for a wired bedside radio, I'm tired of knocking over two inch wide portables when I change stations or move them around to get a stronger signal. Radio reception is poor where I live but this radio pulls in more AM and FM stations than any other radio I've owned, it's reception dwarfs radios I've paid twice as much for, I intend to buy another one for my shop. It's quality of sound is very nice, it's volume should be fine for normal people listening. It's size is perfect for my needs, I'm guessing it runs about 12 hours on a fully charged 18 volt XRP battery. It's a Good looking radio too.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Decent radio, not great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decent battery life while using, and decent amount of volume. Not much beyond that. No Bluetooth capability, even if you add a Bluetooth receiver the radio will need to be powered with 120v to use the usb on the side of the radio. The radio will not power this port on battery power. There have also been weird feedback sounds or frequency distortion that comes through the speakers depending on what you have plugged into the auxiliary or what your power source is(very annoying). It is pretty darn rugged but it could be louder for its size(especially with a bettery on the back.

Rated 1 de 5 de par It was almost a good product. The fact that you can use 18v and 20v style batteries is fantastic, but that is about all that I can say positive about this radio. It does not charge either style battery. The sound is poor. The radio receiver is weak. And to top it all off, I have had it less than two years and the volume knob has failed. Spin the knob up and the volume level may increase or decrease it you spin and mess with it long enough. Worthless. Apparently you cant service or replace the knob either. Dewalt is my choice for durable dependable work tools, this radio is neither. Disappointed.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Very good radio I bought this for a home shop as it is rugged. Fringe area FM reception is above average and AM is as well. Audio is great for a smaller radio and volume adequate for a two car garage shop space. Manual is not clear that the Dewalt battery pack is not charged when the radio is plugged in, as I found out. Now need to get an external charger. Because of this I give the product a 4 insted of a 5.

Rated 4 de 5 de par overall a good product Overall, this is a great product just two things I wish were better: 1) I wish the auxiliary output volume would get louder. Volume is lower when you use the auxiliary output for your cell phone to stream music. The volume is fine, but if your a big work site you can't hear it everywhere. 2) I have a big smart phone, Galaxy Note3, and the compartment isn't big enough with the wires to close the compartment. If it was just slightly bigger though, it would. I'm sure most phones fit fine but with some of the newer bigger phone models that are coming out this will be an issue for a few people.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Poor value. Three shortcomings make this a poor value. 1. It is not a charger. It will not charge a battery when plugged in. It only drains the battery just like any other tool. 2. It does not come with a battery..So there's another $75-$100 to purchase a battery...and another $50 for the required charger. 3. Volume/sound quality is poor. I've heard better sound from inexpensive portable speakers. Definitely not worth the $100 price tag.

I have two of the larger DeWalt radios in my barns and needed a smaller one to use when out working in the fields / yard. Although this has no built in charger, it uses the same 18v battery as my other two units which do have internal chargers. Full charged battery in this unit will last for 6+ hours. Reception is good with the antenna up, somewhat less with the antenna stored in the down position. It has an internal button battery that keeps the clock and preset stations in memory when the 18v battery is removed for charging. Seems to be very rugged as it survived a fall out of a moving gator at about 25 mph on hard top.

Does the radio receive both AM and FM stations?

Does the radio receive both AM and FM stations?
Posée par: Brian
Yes it does but I also think it depends on your location if it picks up anything. We have the large dewalt radios at work and depending on which room of the plant your in which station you pick up. And I think that’s with any radio!

I had bought a cordless drill and I use the battery off it that came with charger. On Black Friday DeWalt usually has 2 batteries and charger for $99.00. A deal,
