Rated 5 de 5 de par A great, well designed and manufactured little saw! This is a great example of excellent design work and quality control going into an offshore manufactured item. I bought this to do a project that I should have bought a panel saw for but couldn’t justify spending a couple thousand on a reasonable quality unit. At about 1/7th the price, this was worth taking the risk on. While I’m not a woodworker, I am an ultra-precision prototype and CNC machinist - we machinist typically find it frustrating working with the difference in quality and precision of the typical wood working power tool. That said, this little machine is a pleasure, especially the design and function of the fence. With double rack and pinion, quick change extension adjustment, a solid adjustment lock, and the ability to “trim” in all measurement calibration, it was very easy to do the job of cutting dozens of small, precise rectangular panels for cabinets I built. It’s a compact sturdy package, easily transported with storage spots right on the machine for all the accessories: fence, protractor, stock pusher, blade guard and riving knife, blade wrenches, and the cord. They really spent some time thinking this product through - hats off the the engineering team! While I haven’t put many hours on it, it seems to be built for a good life. I bought it because of all the other great reviews it’s gotten, hard to find a bad review. The only serious complaint I saw was it not having a long enough spindle for a multiple blade set but that’s just a feature complaint. My only complaint would be of the measurement setting hair/cursor window - it’s an all plastic plate located with a couple flathead screws into adjustment slots molded into the plate. The slots are close to the edge of the plate such that when the screws are tightened, the slot edges bow outward from the conical head of the screw - not likely to last long if adjustments are made often. A metal plate over the top of the plastic slots acting as a washer with a couple holes and pan head screw would be an easy fix and far more positive position locking.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Saw / stand combo at a great price! Got this combo for an even lower $299 a few weeks ago from HD but the $349 is still a bargain. Arrived in perfect condition. Some reviews of the individual items stated that the mounting holes in the stand did not line up with those in the saw frame. That's not the case with the combo. They lined up perfectly and the bolts, nuts and washers are included. The stand is also not as short as I had feared. The working height seems fine and I'm 6' tall. The saw works great. Rips through material effortlessly and the fence and blade were square from the factory. I applied a couple layers of aluminum tape to the miter gauge slide to reduce the play and that seems to be holding up well. The whole thing packs down small for storage and transport, which is nice, as space is a premium.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Not really portable, stand missing parts Never even got the saw out of the box. The reviews of the saw all looked great, so when I saw it on sale with the stand, I bought it. But then when I went to assemble, the stand was missing a bolt. But more importantly, the design requires you to bolt the saw onto the stand. Not really portable if the saw has to be disconnected and reconnected each use. A better stand design is required, with wheels and quick releases to attach and detach the saw. Otherwise you are having to manually disconnect it every day or haul around a 75 lb combo stand and saw, so again, not really portable. Could you attach wheels yourself, for sure. But our of the box those are two design flaws so it went back. Next time I'll skip on the sale and buy a better portable stand, or forego the stand all together. Lessons learned.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Not very compact, almost as big as their slightly larger table saw. Stand is not portable friendly. Great price for what it is. Received this saw and stand last week and on first inspection I was kind of surprised at how NOT compact it is! I guess there's no real way to make a usable table saw much smaller than this but the price was right, it does perform well so far, and I will keep it now that I've opened it up and used it but wouldn't recommend it as a "compact" version of anything. The stand is not portable friendly in that it provides threaded bolts and washers to attach the saw to it. It's kind of a slow set-up and tear down for my taste but it does work. also the stand height is lower than I'd normally like so I'll probably end up using a different table or setting the stand on blocks to raise it up!

Rated 4 de 5 de par Serves my needs well. The blade and rip fence settings... Serves my needs well. The blade and rip fence settings were perfect from factory. The ruler was less than 1/16 off which I fixed. I bought it knowing about the wobbly miter gauge. Dewalt should fix this to protect their reputation. The stand had 8 screws. 4 matched the holes the other 4 would not fit either the leg extensions nor the saw connection. Not vital but shows lack of quality control. I cut up to a 2x6 pressure treated lumber cross and rip. Cuts like butter.

Everything was easy to assemble and set up until: The motor seized up on literally my second cut thru a 2 x 2, and there is no reset button, fuse to replace, etc. The manual does not address this type of issue. The saw will not reset or start since, so this one will be going back to Dewalt. All of my previous Dewalt tools have been excellent, so this is disappointing to say the least.

Does the stock blade that arrives on this table saw need to be upgraded right away, or is it a fine blade to begin with? I plan to cut 1 inch thick white oak planks

Posée par: HovoHopar
I guess it depends on how fine of a finish you are expecting. I started with the dewalt blades and after a week I upgraded to Diablo because I needed to cut ply and wanted to use diablos plywood blades. I’d say they’re decent for a fast cutting rip or crosscut
