This tool works well for it's main use and I like that it has all of the heads and storage for them right in the handle. Super convenient. However, the storage is really lacking. The little holders inside the handle don't hold the heads in place so every time you open it to get a head or put one back, they're all falling out and it's kind of a trick to get them all back in there to shut the handle. Such a cool idea, but poor execution. We'll keep using it and it's still worth it to have all the heads accessible but it's an unnecessary pain for them to be wobbling around inside there and falling out when you open it.

It simple, the screw driver work fine the the bit holder in the handle is of no use. It does not hold the bits and a real pain. Not what you want, the unavailability to multiple task by changing bit. This is very problematic. Depending of your work environment and you need to change a bit. I tried to freely place them in the handle but very discouraging as both putting them in or taking them out and they fall everywhere. Not what you what when your standing on a ladder or over a project and again they go everywhere. Another thing is the bit extension and bit won't stay in as well. CAN'T believe Dewalt would make it so flawed. Like they built it and not even tried it.

Rated 4 de 5 de par A year of heavy use I bought this after I purchased my house. I have used this screwdriver everyday working on things in my garage. The ratcheting mechanism is great for tightening screws around the house. It will never replace my standard screw drivers, but for the everyday homeowner I’d say it’s a good product. My only complaints are that the shank often falls out when working at certain angles. I solved this by glueing it in permanently. Also the bit storage is utterly useless that’s not a problem for me because I have other places to store them. I think it’s made in China which is a bummer because I love supporting US manufacturing. All in all it’s a great tool!

Works great as a ratcheting screwdriver - but the bit storage is a complete disaster. Every time you open it to get a bit you're likely to have half of the bits fall out. Then when you try to put them back in, it's so tight that you wind up knocking other bits out of their slot. It would be much better if the top was hollow without the holding slots and all of the bits could just be poured in and out. I have many screwdrivers scattered around my place and when I need one and this one is the closest, I'll go out of my way to find another one.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Inconvenient convenience This multi bit ratcheting screwdriver fails because its storage of the bits went backwards on previous designs. Rating would be improved if this was a one bit ratcheting screwdriver, as it was easy for my wife to use when set up ready to use. But any long term user will quickly learn the bit storage becomes a loose storage only zone, and thus dumps out on you when purposefully and accidentally opened. Thus you have store the bits separately, defeating the primary aspect this tool was designed around. This was the only DeWalt tool I have ever discarded in the trash. I kept the bit shaft and use that as a bit extension for my drills. This was an impulse purchase during xmas shopping, should have read reviews first.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Nice multi-bit screwdriver except one flaw I bought this earlier this year and tonight I just realized I have two of the same bit, Torx 15, in the holder meaning I am missing another bit which I assume should be a Torx 20 as there is a Torx 10 in the handle. Very good assortment of bits for one screwdriver! I have only used this screwdriver twice and I love the ratchet and ergonomics of the handle. As others have mentioned, the bit storage is poor. When I pull out the bit storage, about 2-4 bits fall onto the ground and the thin plastic walls holding the bits appear that they will break easily or stretch easily making the bits fall out even easier than they do when new.

The bits don't fasten or stay in place. When you open the handle to change one out several of them fall on the floor. Some of the bits don't fit at all. I suggest that the material used to hold the bits to be more pliable. Maybe a rubber compound opposed to plastic. As a functioning screwdriver it's very nice. A redesign would change my rating to a five star.

Normally, I'm a huge fan. Hence why I gave this ratcheting screwdriver a chance. Big mistake. This thing is trash. If I could give it a negative start, I would. Clever idea, very poorly executed. The bits do not fit right in the storage cradle built into the handle. Good luck getting them in, and if you happen to think you've got it, go ahead and close it up. I promise you when you open it, they will all come falling out. I never actually used this thing as I am leaving to return this useless tool immediately. Would not recommend, do not buy this!

How do you get into the handle,?

Posée par: Aaron
On the handle is a silver top pull it up and you will see the bits. It's hard at first but after using a few times it will get easier to pull up just be-careful the bits will fall out when you open the storage area and when returning bit to holder that's a major challenge it's very hard to get them back into the bit holder. I just put my bits into a zip lock bag easier to use.

Are the bits magnetic?

Posée par: Sandy
The bits aren't magnetic but the end of the bit holder is. However, the magnetism is weak. I was deeply disappointed with this tool.

How do you change the bits?

Posée par: Rich
Hi Rich, The bits simply pull out with a quick pull. When putting in a new bit, you simply slide it in. Very easy. I love this screwdriver a lot. It ends the search for the right driver.
