Rated 5 de 5 de par This blade was part of a 2 blade combo which also included the 44T general purpose blade. Separately they sell for $140 while as a combo they cost $60 effectively giving you the 80T free. But that combo is not always available so keep your eyes peeled. I really like Freud products and have been using them for years so buying a few of these combos was a no-brainer. These blades are especially good, leaving you with a smooth finish especially the 80T blade....No vibrations and no excessive heating. Straight and clean like a hot knife through butter. The carbide tips are very sharp and stay that way. The key to happiness in successfully using these blades (esp. the 80T) is that you need to have a powerful enough saw which means 15amps and 4,000 plus RPM's is a must otherwise it could bog down and do a less than impressive job. With the right power these blades will do commendable work and I am very impressed both with the results and the price. Recommend.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Blade for laminate flooring..... Just purchased this blade to use for cutting laminate flooring(12mm thick) in a sliding mitre saw and it worked great no chipping or rough cutting of the flooring at all. After 200 sqft of flooring the blade still cuts laminate like it's going through butter. Don't waste your money on the more expensive "laminate blades" .

Bought these on a whim thinking I would use them for some demo material on an upcoming project. I decided to try one out on a current project with solid Maple, Baltic ply and Maple ply. I have to say it cut everything easily, smoothly, with minimal tear out and no burn. I did rip cuts, crosscuts and even tried some re-sawing. After that I even went back for another package.

This relatively inexpensive saw blade excels at both ripping and cross cutting. I have been using it to table saw 3/4" maple and 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood. As a new blade, it cuts thru both types of wood smoothly and almost effortlessly. But I am most impressed with how true the blade runs. The attached photo shows my measurement setup with a dial caliper to measure out-of-plane run out. After using a new blade for a couple of weeks, the run out measured less than .002 inches peak-to-peak as the blade is rotated through a full revolution, which is excellent. (The arbor is dead flat with no measurable run out.) I am hoping the Diablo blade remains this true for a long service life. If so, this two-pack is the best saw blade value I have found.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Good blade for miter saw This is a good blade for general finishing. It is a thin kerf blade though, which makes it not a primary choice for a table saw. Thin kerf blades work best on miter saws or under-powered saws since they cut a finer line there is less material to remove and less requirement for power. On the flip side, a thin kerf blade vibrates more than a standard kerf blade that translates into more tool marks. A professional wood working blade is a standard kerf blade with a straight edge that enables you to do a little dadoing with a little patience. This blade is great for cross cutting but couldn't be used for dadoing; it will leave marks on the bottom edge. Overall a great blade for a miter saw or a low-powered table saw. If you are considering cutting laminated plywood or laminated particle board buy the Freud 80-teeth 10" blade, which is made specifically for this purpose.

Rated 2 de 5 de par OK for softwood, No good in hardwood Purchased the 12" 80 tooth blade to cross cut hardwood. Mounted it on my 2-3/4HP Porter Cable miter saw and expected to glide through the Oak, Jatoba and Zebra Wood I was using. I needed to make numerous cuts through 3" thick by 6" wide "dressed" slabs of these woods. While it did OK on the Oak it started to bog down and smoke on the Zebra and did a terrible tear-out job on the Jatoba requiring several progressive attempts to make a single through cut at any location. I will agree that Jatoba is one tough customer, but I really had to pull down on the saw to get it to cut through. The blade just doesn't have the ability to clear itself, nor get a clean cut into the wood. The side walls overheat and the blade then wanders, causing an uneven cut. So I returned it and got my 100 bucks back. As a reference I then purchased a $145 dollar blade from another manufacturer and it cut through the Jatoba - with nothing more than LIGHT finger pressure on the saw. Motor never slowed down, and all the cuts were extremely clean with crisp edges. If you are cutting 1 by 4 ash, white oak, birch.... then this blade will mostly likely serve you well. If you dive into harder waters from time to time, you should look higher up the food chain.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Smooth cuts good price Got this to replace my miter saw's horrible old contractor saw that left a lot of burrs when cross cutting. After replacing it with this blade, the cuts were immediately much smoother and left a lot less required cleanup. Chopped through softwoods, hardwoods and some ABS pipes and it was all perfect. I also used this in my table saw before I got a dedicated ripping blade and this still performed way better than the default blade that came with the table saw. This blade has an ATB teeth formation. The only slight annoyance is that since this blade is all red, the red will rub off on some cuts. You will see a nice smooth cut but it will have some red marks. It's easily sanded off but it's a slight nuisance. Overall, a fair price, good blade for cross cuts and rip cuts, it may leave some red marks but is clearly a quality product that will stay sharp for a while.

Yes this is a thin kerf blade as the blade tooth width is approximately 3/32" wide. A more careful measurement with a caliper reveals a blade width of 0.101 inches.
