We had two heaters in our basement before, and this one heater heats the area without any problems. It might even be too good, as when it kicks on, it really getting things heated up.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great heaters I love them, rspecially the way they cycle on and off. Very efficient and they never seem to cycly on fully. My only complaint is the mounting screws are horrible. The head of the screws is so small they are useless. I had to purchase screws with mollys anyway. No biggie. I plan to replace my old clunky ones. Very inexpesive. I put two on thermostats, fyi, its required by insurance companies you have a major area on a wall thermostat. The remote control is pretty easy to set up. They missed a step in the instructions, both the thermostat and the remote have to be unlocked

Can you provide a link where I can see the installation manual for this product? I am specifically looking for the CSA/UL recommended installation clearances. When I enter Model # LC6025W31 into the DIMPLEX document search site it comes back unknown.

I would like to install one of these in my kids games room. Would this be a good application?

    Posée par: MomBuilder
Good afternoon, These units are CSA and UL approved for residential use. Due to the smaller size of our Linear Convectors, and the fact that they operate on the principles of top discharge, they can be placed anywhere in the room, but installation instructions must be followed that are provided with each unit. You can find installation instructions for the LC here, and for the LPC here. dimplex.com Thank you

What thermostat could I use to control two of these heaters connected in parallel at 240V ?

    Posée par: Mike
You must use a line voltage thermostat whose capacity equals the total wattage of the two heaters. Example: two 1500W heaters can be controlled from a single thermostat with a minimum rating of 3000W. If your total heater wattage totals more than 3000W, you will have to go with a higher capacity thermostat. These units are usually rated at 4000W.

what size breaker and wire please

    Posée par: Anonyme
Depends how many baseboard heaters you have on the circuit. For up to around 3500kw you would need a 20 Amp Double breaker 240v. The cable for this would be the red 12/2.

    Instalation

The diagram is very confusing , there is one black wire, and the rest is with wire nuts, black goes to black and where does the white go ?
    Posée par: Anonyme
On these heaters there should be two wires twisted together with a blue marette. It doesn't matter which wire goes to the red or black conductor on your 12/2 red sheathed cable. Both sides are hot when properly connected as they require 240V.

how many square foot of heating area for the 2500 w.

    Posée par: Anonyme
A typical figure for calculations is 10 watts per square foot. 2500 watts would be good for about 250 square feet.
