The only thing I don't like is the difference between the on and off temperature. Rated 5 de 5 de par Thermostat fine- poor instructions The wiring diagram that s included in the package is poorly written and misleading. The double pole wiring diagram actually references a 'neutral' wire coming from the source, rather than 2 lines, as is required by this type of circuit. If you search for a double pole thermostat wiring diagram online, it shows the correct terminology that should be used. There is no neutral wire used in 240v heating, unless there is a fan for forced air also in the unit. Also, just an FYI on the other commenter stating that since installing a double pole breaker, their rooms now warm up unlike before. This statement is not true as a result of the thermostat being single or double. More than likely it was either wired incorrectly when using the single pole, or the original thermostat was not functioning properly. Having a double or single pole thermostat does not change the heat output of any unit. Logically, it is more likely that the original wiring included the use of a neutral wire rather than two lines, making the heater completely ineffective at produng heat.

i bought a dimplex wall heater, 1500 watts and need a thermastat. what is the difference between a single pole thermastat and a double.

    Posée par: Anonyme
Good afternoon, A double pole has a definite off position and will turn off. The single pole will not turn off and will re engage with full heat if the temperature in your room drops to 7 degees celsius and will continue to run until you change the setting.

energy savings on one or the other thermostat ? 1 or 2 pole ?

what are the advantages of a 2 pole thermostat over a single pole one? Is there any energy savings on one or both ???
    Posée par: Anonyme
Good afternoon, There are no energy savings on either other than the fact that the double pole has an actual off position that will shut the heater off but the single pole has no off positon so if the temperature raches 45 degrees F or 7 degrees celsius it will turn on.

does this mean electricity is always leaking with a single pole thermostat therefore wasting energy?

    Posée par: Anonyme
Good moirning, A single pole thermostat means that there is no definite off position so the heater will come on if the temperature reaches 45 degrees farenheit.

I want to join 2 heaters together. Do you make a closure piece to join the 2 heaters so that it looks like 1 long heater.

I want to join a 1500 w and 2500 watt Dimplex LC Series heater along one wall, I want the heaters toook like one long heater rather that 2 butted together. Thanks
    Posée par: Anonyme
Goodmorning , We do not sell fillers for the LC series.

I want to buy an electronic programmable thermostat to control 3 heaters totaling 5280W. Can you recommend a type/mode of thermostat that will work.

I am replacing old electric base board heaters with a Dimplex LC Servies - 2500W, 1500W, and 1250W. Thanks
    Posée par: Anonyme
Good morning , Dimplex does not manufacture a electronic programmable thermostat as yet.You can use another manufacturers thermostat such as Honeywell.
