Rated 5 de 5 de par Excellent Sturdy Ladder I bought this ladder this summer and installed it on my new swim raft. It is a sturdy, well finished, attractive ladder that serves the purpose perfectly. It goes deeper than I expected, making it very easy to climax onto the raft. Overall an excellent ladder and I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Well made, sturdy Installed this on my dock, no mounting hardware is included, so you'll need to purchase that separately. I through bolted with stainless steel bolts and galvanized angle. Wide steps are comfortable climbing, as well as the rails which are easy to grip. Steps are welded to the rails so it is exceptionally sturdy.

I have a couple more questions: What is the depth of the horizontal pieces that sit on the dock? It appears there are two holes in each horizontal piece and what are the dimensions on where they are located from the edge of the uprights? it appears the upright tubes slide over the top hand rail pieces. Is that true? Can the steps slide up a bit or down a bit and lock in place from the dimensions provided prior (54" for 5 step)? Thanks.

Does it require through dock installation with backing plates?

Posée par: Ekersh
Hello, you can use either lag bolts or through bolts. A backer plate is not required unless the dock material is old and not strong enough.

will this material pick up barnacles in salt water?

Posée par: Pascuale
Yes, it will still collect barnacles. The only way to keep that from happening would be to pull it out of the water when not in use. We do have a flip up version in the works that will be available soon.

The other model td-20260 claims 6063 marine grade aluminum. Does this use the exact same marine grade aluminum? Also is the main difference between to two is that this model has 14 inch wide steps and the other has 12 inch wide steps? The two spec sheets do not compare dimensions directly with each other. For example this claims to have an overall width of 16 inches with steps that are 14 inches wide but the other model claims a width of 19.75 inches which does not make sense if it has 4" wide by 12" long steps.
Posée par: dkgorman
Yes the aluminum is exact same marine grade. The steps is the only difference. The wide steps are 4" in terms of depth, and width of the ladder is 14". So the depth of the steps are 4", width is 14" and the distance between each step is 12"
