Rated 1 de 5 de par Part failure The mandrel did not work properly the only time I used it, and the screw became lodged and I’m now unable to remove it. As much money as I spent on my Dremel, I would expect a small, key component to work properly...very poor quality.

The screw broke off in the first one before I finished my project, rendering the mandrel useless. Plus it can be hard to get the screw out to change the disc. It really needs to be designed and made better.

Rated 1 de 5 de par It is stuck I am having the same issue listed in other reviews. The screw is stuck and I have never been able to use it. I tried putting it in the Dremel to help turn it, but that didn't work. I also tried rubber gloves for better grip. I just opened the box today!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Very frustrating I bought the 200 kit just to cut a stuck screw. Is there any way to use the cutting wheel without the Mandrel #402? I can't remove the screw on the top. The Mandrel should have a square or a hex shape, so a wrench can be used to counter the screw driver. How to take this screw off?????

Rated 1 de 5 de par Defective right out of the box Bought a kit that came with this mandrel and was unable to unscrew the top. I paid good money for this Dremel kit so it should work at least once. Seems like a real cheesy way to make people buy Dremel’s EZ system

Purchased a new mandrel and reinforced cutting disks to replace a mandrel that was lost when I loaned out my Dremel. The screw was darn near impossible to get out. Finally got the screw out without stripping it and got the cutoff disk on. Got thru 3 screws before the disk broke. Not surprised as they are hardened steel. Again the screw was difficult to back out. Put the new cutoff disk on and went to screw it back in it went half way in. Backed it out and noticed the screw has stripped and bent. After reading many online comments, I guess I am not the only one. Now I’m really bummed as the mandrel I lost was about 15 years old and worked perfectly. Wake up Dremel and redesign this part before you lose loyal customers.
