Rated 4 de 5 de par Good deal I have used these wheels for many different projects. Some easier than others. These wheels are great! They have cut PVC pipe with no issue or hardly any wear. They have cut vinyl rain gutters, pad locks, flat steel, flat aluminum, aluminum flashing, nails/screws, and many other things so far. The hardest to cut was the padlocks as it was 1/4" hardened steel and yet these cut right through them without a problem. Those did wear the disks, but then again, it WAS hardened steel! Id recommend these to anyone with a Dremel who has a need for cutting. They are easy to buy and keep on hand and will be up to whatever task they are needed for.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Who needs pneumatics w/this in your arsenal [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although this is small, it comes in handy when you need to cut off that bolt head that won't budge or that edge of plastic that you didn't cut perfectly, and many more practical uses. If you plan on cutting into some really hard steel this will rok but the downfall is that you will most likely go through alot of them. There is also a wheel that is a composite it will do the job without breaking as much as this fiberglass reinforced wheel. that is why I rate this a three out of five.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Impressive! I just used one of these to cut a kitchen faucet body in order to remove it from the sink when I couldn't free the nut on the bottom side of the sink basin. It worked great; no breakage or sign of wear. I think I will be using these from now on in place of the plain abrasive cutoff wheels.

Rated 3 de 5 de par yes it's better than the regular cut off's but... well, that's about the extent of it's better-ness. lasts longer than the standard cut off wheels, and doesnt break like the others if you just bump it. 3 out of 5 due to the fact that dremel has the EZ Lock version of this which is larger and much more durable. (they out did themselves again) overall good product, but perhaps a bit pricey. hope this helps!!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par I bought his product (pk of 5) to cut through... I bought his product (pk of 5) to cut through a 3/4" galvanized iron pipe, when a pipe burst during a cold snap. Rather than use a Drimmel, I attached this wheel to a power drill. 2 wheels & 30 minutes later, that tough frozen pipe strode no chance. BEST DECISION I'VE MADE IN QUITE SOME TIME!!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Most Versatile Dremel Bit [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased and repurchased Reinforced Cut-Off Wheels over and over because I find so many applications for its use. As a woodworker, I use the cut-off wheel as a router, a shaper, a saw and sander in situations where I am working in tight spaces where I need to create on-the-fly adaptations. I used the Reinforced Cut-Off Wheel in each and everyone of the projects in the attached photos.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Enormous Power in such a small package! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my 1st Dremel about 6 years ago and have been adding attachments and bits ever since. The piece I am most impressed with is the 1-1/4 fiberglass reinforced cut-off wheel because it goes through anything and everything and for such a small tool it delivers amazing results. I am so happy with my Dremel collection. It's a life-saver and the cost is so incredibly reasonable considering what these products deliver. I will continue building my collection as long as I have a shop and I've always had a shop.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Cutting sheet metal off a dishwasher to make it fit... Cutting sheet metal off a dishwasher to make it fit a tight space. Could only cut about 2” per wheel so used the entire pack in 10 minutes.

Does it make a straight cut?

Posée par: HomeDepotCustomer
This tool will make a straight cut through all types of metal. Use of a guide will help, or if you have a steady hand, you may be able to make a straight cut freehand. I was able to use these to make two plunge cuts through heavy steel flat bar in order to make a striker plate for a lock used on a gun cabinet. Minimal filing was needed to dress the edges and square the slot, which was made by cutting between two holes drilled in the flat bar.

Do I need to buy a wheel holder?

Posée par: zuzu
The Dremel should have come with the mandrel required to hold the cut-off wheel. A 402 Rotary Tool Mandrel is the correct one for use with this wheel.
