I have had serious problems with water in my basement for over 10 years, a foot or more every time it rained. I finally had had it when I decided to look in the internet and compared many pumps to see which one would be suitable for my home. The minute I saw this one, I noticed the "Float" was different, it works like a toilet. So I went ahead and ordered the unit to try it out. I am more than satisfied with it. It took me less than 5 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. It works FANTASTIC, I have never seen my basement constantly DRY even on very wet days. I AM EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THIS UNIT AND RECOMEND IT TO ANYONE WITH A SMALL BASEMENT THAT IS HAVING PROBLEMS.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pump is really heavy and seems well built and its still pretty quiet compared to most. Our house is built on a high water table , and the pump will go on every few minutes during and after a storm, for that reason I ended up putting a concrete block under it to give the float a little more room before it goes on. also so that it doesnt suck up as much silt, although it seems to take solids ok , I would rather let the dirt settle in the pit around the concrete block and clean it out once a year. the pump goes on when the float hits 8" (measured from the bottom of the pump) , and it goes off when down to 4"., thats if the pump is siting on the bottom of the basin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sump pump replaced an old one in my basement. Living in New England, we had an exceptionally heavy amount of rain instead of snow this year and I didn't want to take a chance of my old pump failing. The install was very quick and easy for me. Once it was installed and hooked up to my power supply it started working right away. It was a lot quieter than the old one and pumped the water out the hole twice as fast. Hopefully it will last as long as the pump it replaced.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm in Oregon and in winter it rains here - a lot. So, a reliable sump pump for the basement is an absolute must. My sump is relatively small in diameter, so it has to be a pump with vertical switch, as the normal switches always get hung up. The cast iron base makes sure the pump stays submerged. Yes, it will start to rust a little, but the pump will still work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the amount of rain we had last year, reviewing our current sump pump setup on one side of our house was a priority this past month as we prepared for this winter. This sump pump feels to be well built & has the features we demand for our installation: Float, Metal construction & large-volume. The pump operates as it should and moves water fast, efficiently and quietly. I found it hard to find a better pump for the same money spent, with the same features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i ordered this sump pump as a back up to my aging stand sump pump that is operating on borrowed time. the new Eco-Flo submersible pump seems to be a well built and well designed replacement pump with many good features such as being made of cast iron, an 8 foot power cord, 1/3 HP high volume 3300 GPH water removal flow with up to a 31 foot vertical lift and can handle solid particles up to 3/8 inch contained in the suspension liquids. installation doesn't look to hard and the only thing you need to add is a check valve on the discharge line which is pretty much standard procedure. i think it is a good pump for residential use that will fill most peoples needs, as an added benefit it has a recycle for life program that you can return the pump prepaid to the manufacturer once it is obsolete to dispose of the components in an ecological manner.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Out of site out of mind Product is quiet and out of site. It does what is suppose to do. My only issue is the screwnails the manufacturer used are rusting. Not impressed with that. Out of site out of mind.

It seems that the pump only activates when the float is at he top. Is there any way to adjust it so that the pump will turn on at lower water level?
Posée par: Eric94521
Eric94521, There is no way to modify the switch to activate sooner at this time.

Does it have to be in a bucket or can it sit in the hole?

Posée par: Carmen
It does not need to be in a bucket, but I would suggest putting it on a d slightly raised flat surface such as a layer of bricks
