Rated 5 de 5 de par Awesome Tile I researched tile online then went to Home Depot to see this one in person. I got a rep to get me one square so I could take it home and see it in the natural light. It looked great so I purchased enough to do my backsplash. I had someone do it for me but I bought the grout and made sure it had NO sand in it. I think it looks great and has very subtle colours. So that I didn't have to cut a lot of tiles I put a border of 6" tiles along the bottom and under the cabinets mdf border. I also had Corian countertops here and on my island.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Not as impressed as I wanted to be Overall not bad to install, the usual few pieces needed to be told where to go which you can adjust on install and I really enjoyed the colours. It looked wonderful when installed and then I grouted... I used a sanded grout as this had 1/8" grout lines and it was a centerpiece with different tiles in a shower surround. After grouting and cleaning you couldn't see much until I wiped the haze and suddenly there were a ton of scratches in the tiles! Really really unimpressed that my brand new just installed tile looked suddenly like it had been put through the ringer with years of abuse. It was really upsetting to realize my beautiful new shower surround was ruined. I am at a loss for what to do because I want to replace them as they look terrible but the amount of work and set back is unacceptable.

what size of spacer do you need?

Posée par: isabel
I didn't use any spacer. The tile has a mesh backing. The grout lines are quite thin, and you should use a non-sanded grout so you don't scratch the tile.

Mapei Adesilex P10 Mosaic & Glass Tile Mortar's instructions say "not to use on glass tiles with decorative coating on the back." Is the coating on the back of these tiles, OK to use with Mapei's mortar?

Posée par: Fav25
Our glass tiles have a the color fired on, so there is no issue using this mortar type with the glass tiles.

Our kitchen backsplash area measures 45 sq ft. How many tiles do I need?

Posée par: Julie
As 1 sheet covers 1 square foot, you need 45 sheets , plus another 10% for cuts and scrap. Therefore, purchase 50 square feet, or 50 sheets of tile.

When I lay the second sheet to the right of the first sheet, should I leave a 2 mm gap between them or should I fit them tightly together so they would touch one another?

Posée par: Fav25
Maintain the same gap WITHIN the sheet of 2mm between ADJACENT sheets when installing.

We have painted one coat of primer on our kitchen drywall. Would "Custom Building Products OmniGrip 3.5 Gal. Maximum Strength Adhesive; Model # COGA; Store SKU # 1000160484 " adhere to our drywall for life? If not, what do you recommend?

Posée par: Julie
As per the insttructions, we do not recomment adhesive type products. Use a premium white thinset that you mix yourself for glass tile installations. Adhesives change color when they dry and will affect the color of the transparent glass.

Could I use a ceramic tile and porcelain tile cuter like this one, "Anvil 14-inch Ceramic and Porcelain Tile Cutter" sold on Home Depot to cut it? If not, could I use an angle grinder to cut it?

Posée par: Fav25
It is not recommended to cut any tile or glass with a grinder as it can create harmful dust. Use only a wet saw or the score and snap method to cut tiles. I am not familiar with cutter ratings, however you local Home Depot associate in the Tool department can assist with this question. But NEVER dry cut tiles, stone, or glass.
