Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Purchase....Very Effective These worked very well. Once in place they stay there. They can be a pain but I think that is just for the novice. Once you are use to them they go on and off fairly easily. You'll need two hands but once the pinch has been made it's hand free to concentrate on other parts without fear that they will dislodge which happened only once and after a fair amount of screaming and cursing were reapplied. They have many uses other than what I intended. You won't be sorry you made this purchase!

Ceiling clamps are extremely useful for a variety of purposes such as jewelry making, model airplane and boat building, inlay and marquetry, and other precision miniature making. But understand that they are intended for the specific purpose of holding cross tees to wall angle while installing the framework for a suspended ceiling, and there are no better tools than these for that purpose. The rubber tips assure that you will not mar the finish on the wall angle or t-bar, and the clamps provide precisely the correct degree of compression to assure that the parts are held together securely while you drill and rivet your ceiling together. But if you intend to use them for other purposes, don't complain that they are of poor quality or that the tips fall off. They grip more solidly than clothes pins, and within reason, they can be bent to grip tighter, or to secure moderately thicker or thinner assemblies. Use them withing their design range and you will be happy. Push them too far outside their design envelope and you will be disappointed.

The metal used seemed cheap, on a couple of the clamps the piece of metal wrapped around the unit to hold the lever in place would bend allowing the lever slip beside the rod it was supposed to move to create the needed tension. I was able to complete my project with them but not without frustratio

Rated 3 de 5 de par They work ok...ONCE They work ok...ONCE, then they bend and strip. The rivet lets the thumb spade slide right over the bar after one use, so unless you re-crimp the metal and ballpein the rivet you have to toss them.

Rated 1 de 5 de par weak, cheap junk Not strong enough to use as a temp clamp while squaring your grid and certainly not strong enough to hold a taut string for alignment. Complete junk with a weak grip. Ill be returning all of them.
