Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Pump This pump seems very solid snd has a great flow rate. It was easy to setup and get into the sump pit. It works well when we had lots of rain and easily kept up with the demand.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Work as expected to replace a misfunctioning pump two months ago. It is working quite well so far. No much water to pump out though in frozen winter. Will see how it will be in spring.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good Pump so Far It does the job. Don't know what kind of longevity it will give me. I expect at least 4 to 5 years if only operating once or twice a day

I have to engage the float because it will not trigger the switch. Is this common and easily fixed or should I replace?

Just bought on 12/26/2020

My personal opinion as someone who needs the pumps working at all times, just change the whole unit out to be safe because something else will fail.

can you use a garden hose with this? or do we need to buy a specific hose?

Posée par: tessmw13
Garden hose is fine with the correct connector or adapter. Try to keep length of hose as short as possible. Use GFI outlet for plug in wet locations.

Is it ok to plug this into a 20 amp outlet with 12/2 wire and 20 amp circuit breaker? In other words, is a 15 amp circuit mandatory?
Posée par: matt
You are fine. Just make sure the outlet is fitted with a GFI outlet. In wet locations ALL outlets must be Ground Fault Interrupter outlets. Be sure to turn off power before installing any new outlets.

Have this pump, worked great the few times that the unit was utilized. The fourth time , not so much. The pump leaked oil, and subsequently took on water. Where can an individual purchase a re-build kit?, one that would have the necessary o-ring(s) and shaft seal(s)? Thanks much...

does anyone know if the float is solid or hollow? I feel I need to cut it in half and it will work better for me.

Posée par: Cliff
I don't know for sure but I will guess that it's foam. You can't cut it as that will make the float volume less and it may not have enough buoyant upward force to trigger the switch.

How long can the pump continuously run before the motor needs time to cool down?

Posée par: Daniel
As long as the pump remains submerged, it s/b fine. however if there is a steady stream of water into your pit where the housing remains exposed, I'd recommend no more than 5mins.
