I used this to cover a 7 year old Pella storm door that corroded from the inside out. I used construction adhesive to attach to what remained of the storm door. This covered very well and surface is showing no signs of wear from weather.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great for covering above a shower I have a shower stall that is 6 feet tall. The 18 inches above it was just painted drywall. The lower edge of the drywall was peeling. A store employee was kind enough to cut the sheet in half (2x 4'x4') so I could fit it in my SUV. Cutting it is a trick. I had no luck with a glass cutter. It cut nicely with my Ryobi ONE+ circular saw. I did one cut in my basement but the dust is nasty. Then I set up a folding table in my back yard and cut it on the lawn. No problems. Adhered nicely to the wall with white silicone caulk. Used the same to seal the joints.

I want to use this as a hockey shooting board on driveway. But it is not recommended for exterior use yet is it waterproof. Does it crack when it is too cold?

    Posée par: DenisR
Hi DenisR, Great question! We say the panels are not recommended for exterior use because the resin does not include a protective UV coating. This means it will break down much more quickly and become brittle if exposed to sunlight. The panels also expand and contract with changes in temperature. In cold weather, it will contract by about 1/8 inch and become more brittle. So to answer your question, yes, it will crack more easily in colder temps. Thanks, -Stabilit Canada

how to cut outlets through this panel and how to cut panels in general

    Posée par: Bernie
Hi Bernie, The best way to cut our FRP panels with a power saw with a fine tooth blade, carbide tip blade or masonry blades. But when cutting out outlets, draw out the area in pencil and then predrill a hole to insert the blade. For small, precise cuts like this it's best to use a swivel-head shear blade. Check out Home Depot's how-to guide on FRP panels if you have any more questions. Thanks, -Stabilit Canada

Can you use a nail gun to fasten the panels?

    Posée par: Cara
Hi Cara, No the best way to install is to use FRP adhesive. You can also use nylon rivets (sold in store next to the panels). You just have to predrill the holes. Thanks, -Stabilit Canada

Is this panel reversible to get a smooth surface look?

    Posée par: Buck
Smooth finish panels are also available. The textured panels are not reversible. Sid Antrix projects, Edmonton

I am looking for a durable wall panel suitable to put directly onto cinderblock walls of a unheated basement room that leads into a basement apartment. The intention is to avoid the need to paint or otherwise finish the walls. Is this suitable?

    Posée par: Bt20
Maybe... depending on the adhesive used, and, how "flat" the wall surface is. If there are a lot of high spots or low spots... may not adhere for long. If that is the case, buy some 3/8" concrete board, and, attach that to the walls first; then the FRP... done. In my own basement laundry room, I installed DENSHIELD tile backer boards over the studs, then, the FRP. Looks GREAT.

    Can this product be routered.

    Posée par: woody
Hi Woody, Yes, we suggest flipped the panels over (textured side down) and using a carbide tipped blade to cut them. Thanks, -Stabilit Canada
