how does this compared with what is also known as 'Tempered Masonite' we are looking for tempored Masonite ---------Thanks

    Posée par: Katah
Tempered hardboard adds an additional step of coating the hardboard with a thin film of linseed oil and baking the board to give more water and impact resistance, hardness, rigidity and tensile strength. This product is not treated and is not recommended where moisture could be present. Please consult with the Pro Desk for Tempered Masonite products / alternatives available.

Which home/hand power tool do you recommend to cut this at home? DIY proyect and not to be cut at the store. Thanks.

    Posée par: Arianna
There are a few options, depending on what you have readily available. A table saw, circular saw, or jigsaw, would work. Using a carbide blade with lots of fine, and evenly-spaced teeth would be ideal for cutting. With it only being a 1/4-inch think, you could even use an exacto knife for small cuts.

is this an affordable choice for underlay over concrete when using self-adhesive vinyl planks?

    Posée par: yelsel
Due to the possibility of moisture, we do not recommended using this product. Please use the underlay recommended by the self-adhesive vinyl plank manufacturer.

Is this board. Water resistant? I wanna use it for the bottom of my DIY bunny pen to protect my floors there would be shavings on top of it.

    Posée par: Klaire99
This product is not water resistant and we do recommend to protect surface with a barrier (waterproof liner) if exposed to wet conditions. In this particular DIY application, typically it is not recommended to use MDF materials as it could be potentially toxic if chewed/ingested by the animal. Please visit your local Home Depot store and speak to a Pro Desk Representative as they can recommend an alternative material such as non-treated plywood.

    Can this be bent?

    Posée par: Tori
It is somewhat flexible. Over the 8' length you might get 2-3' of deflection at one end before it starts to break. It definitely will not bend into a circle over 8'. You might get a little more if you were bending it around another flat surface to support it (I mean something like a curved wall) but I think a radius of 4' would be your max.

Absolutely. Just ask an associate. It’s a free service.
