For the most part, the nailer worked well though about 10 % of the time it would not shoot both sides of the staples I used into the floor which caused me to have to stop and remove these staples. Taking considerable time. If not removed, the next row of hardwood would not insert into the previous row correctly. I tried all kinds of things to see if that would make a difference....higher air pressure, hitting the nailer harder, making sure it was properly aligned to the flooring etc...nothing seemed to make a difference. I got the job done but it just took longer because of having to stop so often.

And I haven't used cleats before, so I can't really compare them. But being a novice, and getting used to a flooring nailer, I didn't hit it correctly once in a while and it left a cleat sticking out. These did the job but when I screwed up I could twist them and make them snap off flush or knock in a head.

Only issue was I could not fit an entire strip of nails in my nailer and the nail strip was difficult to just bend and snap in half to put in the gun. Sometimes had to deal with placing individual nails in the nailer.

My only minor complaint is the length of each bunch is about an inch too long for my Freeman flooring gun. So each time you grab one you have to break off about an inch and then save those up and load them all together. Other than that they work well.

This gun works well, pulls the joints tight with the proper use of the mallet, no jams, no bent nails, and left an intricate picture framed fish back hardwood floor absolutely stunning!

Will these nails work in my bostich floor nailer

Will these nails work in my bostich floor nailer
Posée par: MJ
I cant answer that with 100% certainty because I do not know if the model you have accepts Cleats. If it says it accepts 16ga L-cleats, then yes, our brand will work in the Bostitch. If you have just their Stapler, then no.
